Acţiunea pre-fl op:

După ce jucătorul a primit cărţile proprii (cărţile hole), acesta este confruntat cu prima decizie: a juca sau a nu juca. Jucătorul trebuie să hotărască dacă rămâne în joc sau nu în mâna respecti vă. Pen-tru a conti nua, jucătorul cheamă pariul existent în momentul când acţiunea ajunge la el (sau plusează la suma respecti vă dacă simte astf el de cuviinţă). Astf el, dacă blindurile sunt 1 USD (sb) şi 2 USD (bb) şi nu se plusează până când acţiunea ajunge din nou la small blind, acesta sau aceasti a vor trebui să adauge încă 1 USD la pot pentru a chema cei 2 USD, deoarece a pariat deja 1 USD înainte de împărţirea cărţilor.Odată chemate toate pariurile, se arată fl opul.

Flopul:

Flopul este format din trei cărţi aşezate cu faţa în sus în centrul mesei. Din nou, fi ecare jucător are opţiunea de a renunţa, a spune pas, a face call sau de a plusa.A spune pas (check) este situaţia în care nu s-a făcut niciun pariu care să trebuiască chemat de vreun jucător, astf el că un jucător poate hotărî să păstreze această situaţie spunând pas (în esenţă făcând un pariu nul). Parierea conti nuă potrivit detaliilor oferite mai sus, până când toate pariurile sunt che-mate.După ce pariurile sunt chemate, se împarte următoarea carte.

Turnul:Cartea de turn (numită şi fourth street) este aşezată cu faţa în sus în centrul mesei, alăturându-se celor-lalte cărţi comune. Urmează apoi o nouă rundă de pariere, conform modului descris mai sus. Jucătorii care rămân după această rundă de pariere văd apoi ulti ma carte.

Riverul:Ulti ma carte este riverul (numită şi fi ft h street). Aceasta este aşezată cu faţa în sus în centrul mesei, fi ind de asemenea o carte comună. Jucătorii dispun de toate cărţile posibile. Scopul este realizarea celei mai bune mâini de poker din cele nouă afl ate la dispoziţie (cele patru cărţi proprii şi cele cinci cărţi comune).Urmează apoi runda fi nală de pari-ere, în acelaşi mod ca şi rundele anterioare. Jucătorii care au rămas în joc după încheierea pariurilor trec apoi la arătarea cărţilor.

Showdown (arătarea cărţilor):

După ce s-au încheiat toate pari-urile, jucătorii rămaşi arată cărţile.Dacă s-au efectuat pariuri în runda fi nală, atunci jucătorul care a efec-

tuat ulti ma acţiune poziti vă (ul-ti mul jucător care a făcut un pariu, nu care a făcut call) va arăta primul cărţile. Dacă în runda fi nală de pari-ere toţi jucătorii au spus pas, atun-ci primul care arată cărţile primul este primul jucător din stânga bu-tonului, apoi de acolo se conti nuă în sensul acelor de ceasornic.La jocul de Texas Hold’em, jucătorul poate uti liza orice combinaţie alcătuită din cele două cărţi pro-prii şi cele cinci cărţi de pe masă (cărţi comune). Jucătorul poate pur şi simplu să “joace masa” şi să folosească doar cărţile comune pentru a-şi alcătui mâna (lucru care diferă faţă de alte variante de poker).

Jucătorul care deţine cea mai bună mână din cinci cărţi câşti gă potul. The Blinds and the Butt on:

At the start of every Texas Hold’em poker hand there are two things that are a con-stant: The butt on and the blinds.The butt on is a disc placed in front of a player, and signifi es who is the dealer for that hand.The blinds are forced bets (so called be-cause the players have to post them ‘blind’ before they see any cards) placed by the two players to the immediate left of the butt on. The fi rst player posts the small blind and the second player posts the big blind. The small blind is generally half the number of chips of the big blind. Aft er each hand the butt on progresses one place to the left , and so do both the blinds.

Pre-Flop Acti on:

Once a player has received their pocket cards (hole cards), they are faced with their fi rst decision: to play or not to play. A player must decide if they are in or out of the hand, and do this by matching the bet that stands when the acti on reaches them (or indeed raising that amount if the feeling so takes them). Betti ng will go in sequence starti ng from the fi rst player to the left of the dealer, and conti nue round the table sequenti ally in a clockwise fash-ion unti l all bets have been matched.The possible acti ons available to any player are: Fold, Call or Raise.

As the acti on moves around the table pre-fl op, players wishing to remain in the hand will have to at least call (match) the big blind bet, OR if a previous player has raised (increased the bet) then that bet will have to be at least called to remain in the hand. A player always has the opti on to fold any ti me the acti on is on them (it is their turn).If there has been no raise when the acti on (betti ng round) returns to the big blind player, that player will sti ll have the opti on to raise if they so desire. Any money put into the pot by a player before any cards are dealt counts as part of their overall bet. So if the blinds are $1 (sb) and $2 (bb) and there is no raise before the acti on gets to the small blind, then he or she will only have to put an extra $1 into the pot to match the $2 as they already have $1 in-vested prior to the dealing of the cards.Once all bets are matched the fl op is dealt.

The Flop:

The fl op consists of three cards being dealt face up in the middle of the table. These are community cards, meaning that they are shared by all the players and may form part of anyone’s hand.A round of betti ng will now follow, start-ing from the player to the immediate left of the butt on and conti nuing clockwise around the table.Once again any player will have the opti on to Fold, Check, Call or Raise.A check is a situati on where there is cur-rently no bet that stands which a player would have to match, so a player may decide to conti nue that by checking (es-senti ally calling a bet of zero). Betti ng will conti nue as detailed above unti l all bets are matched.Once this happens the next card is dealt.

The Turn:The turn card (or fourth street) is dealt face up in the middle of the table and be-comes another community card. A round of betti ng then ensues in the same fashion as detailed above. The players who remain aft er this round of betti ng will then see the fi nal card.

The River:

The fi nal card is the river (or fi ft h street); this is dealt face up in the middle of the table and is also a community card. Players now have all the cards they can. The idea is to make the best fi ve-card poker hand from the seven available (the two pocket or hole cards and the fi ve community cards).

The fi nal round of betti ng now follows in the same fashion as previous rounds. Those players that sti ll remain aft er the completi on of the betti ng then go to the showdown.

The Showdown:

Once all betti ng has been completed the players who remain show their cards.If there was betti ng on the last round then the player who made the last positi ve ac-ti on (last player to make a bet – not to call one) will show fi rst, if the last round of bet-ti ng involved all players ‘checking’ then it will be the player to the immediate left of the butt on who will show fi rst then clock-wise from there.

In Texas Hold’em Poker a player may use any combinati on of their two hole cards and the fi ve cards on the board (the com-munity cards). A player may even simply ‘play the board’ and only use the commu-nity cards to form their hand (this diff ers from other forms of poker).

The player with the best fi ve-card hand wins the pot. In the event of player’s poker hands being the same, the poker pot will be equally divided between the players.

The rules of Texas Hold’em give no diff er-enti ati on between suits so split pots can be common.

The butt on now moves clockwise to the next player and a new hand begins.

Scopul de bază al ruletei este să te bazezi pe norocul bilei,să mizezi unde se va opri bila după fi ecare roti re a roţii. Mai pe scurt totul se rezumă la,dacă ai pariat pe numărul pe care bila a căzut atunci,ai câşti gat.Unii jucători au propriile lor sisteme de a alege numerele,unii urmăresc jocul pentru a vedea dacă anumite numere ies mai mult decât altele, numindu-le numere fi rebinţi, în ti mp ce alţii privesc jocul din per-specti va inversă: ce numere nu au apărut o vreme, pariind apoi pe ele.Pariul se poate face de asemenea pe mai mult de un număr într-o tură; totuşi cu acest sistem câşti gurile sânt mai mici. O roată a ruletei europene conţine 37 de fante numerotate (1-36 şi un 0).Pariurile pot fi plasate pe numere individuale, pe un amestec de numere, pe numerele colorate în negru sau în roşu sau pe numerele pare sau impare. Şansele ca o bilă sa se oprească pe oricare dintre fante este de 1 la 36. Un joc începe când toţi jucătorii şi-au plasat pariurile prin aşezarea cip-urilor pe numerele afi şate.Crupierul aruncă bila în sensul opus de învârti re a roţii. Un jucător poate plasa un pariu până în mo-mentul când bila cade în roată; în acest mo-ment crupierul declară închisă parierea (‘’ No more bets’’).Bila se va opri la un număr de pe roată,un marker fi ind plasat pe numărul de pe roată,apoi se plătesc pariurile.

Pariurile disponibile şi plăţile:

•Pariuri interioare

‘’Straight bet’’ (pariul direct) este pariul făcut pe un număr individual.Numerele roţii sânt dispuse în trei coloane în centrul tabelei de pariere,astf el că pentru a paria pe un număr

trebuie să plasaţi un cip deasupra lui .

‘’Split bet’’ (pariul divizat) este pariul făcut pe doua numere adiacente.Pentru a plasa pariul ,punţi cip-ul pe linia ce separă cele două numere.

Rummy is designed for 2 to 4 players like most other games in the Rummy family (Kalooki, Gin Rummy and Rummy500). Every game uses 104 cards - 2 standard decks without the Jokers. Both decks contain 4 complete suits each with 13 cards, where the value of each card (in penalty points) is equal to its number. legend. Doyle has been playing for

many years and is one of the most

accomplished players in the game.

Doyle has won ten bracelets from the

World Series of Poker and remains

successful at the highest cash games,

and has been playing the game for

about a half of century.

Doyle was born in Longworth, Texas

on August 10, 1933. He played bas-

ketball, baseball, and ran track in high

school. He was chosen as one of the

fi ve best basketball players in the state

of Texas and he was also the best high

school miler. Off ers poured in from

colleges and he decided on Hardin-

Simmons. The NBA’s (then Minne-

apolis) Lakers showed great interest

in Doyle unti l he snapped his knee in

two places while he was working. He

was not able to parti cipate in sports

at the level he was accustomed, so

the game of poker took over his need

to sati sfy his competi ti ve nature. He

fi nished college and received his Mas-

ter’s degree in Administrati ve Educa-

ti on. He tried to pursue a job in the

fi eld, but found he was making more

money playing poker than he would

working a typical 9 to 5 job. Although,

he is known for playing poker, he

has also been known to wager large

amounts on other acti viti es. His most

famous side bet was when he bet a

friend $1 million that he could lose

100 pounds. He won that bet.

Doyle married his wife, Louise in

1962. They had four children, includ-

ing Todd (another successful poker

player), Pam, Cheryl and Doyla. Doyla

died in her sleep due to a valve prob-

lem with her heart when she was 18.

He thinks about her every day, but

said that he is at peace with God.

Doyle currently lives in Las Vegas. He

also owns a home on Flathead Lake in

sen and actor, James Garner. He holds

The cigar business was an important industry, and factories employed many people before mechanized manufacturing of cigars became practi cal. Many modern ci-gars, as a matt er of presti ge and quality, are sti ll rolled by hand, most especially in Central America and Cuba: some boxes bear the phrase totalmente a mano (totally by hand) or hecho a mano (made by hand).

Această veste vine ca o surpriză pentru cei care au cunosc industria de jocuri de noroc din Atlanti c City.Comisia de Control a Cazinourilor din New Jersey a lansat cifrele din 2009, veniturile au scăzut cu treisprezece la sută la cazionurile din AC. Asta a fost în conformitate cu tendinţa de pierderi de două cifre în fi ecare din primele unsprezece luni ale anului.

“Numerele lansate astăzi nu sunt surprize mari”, a declarat “Gaming Analyst-ul”, Steve Schwartz, “Industria de cazino, per ansamblu a suferit datorită recesiunii din SUA, iar aceste probleme au fost cele mai vizibile în Atlanti c City şi Las Ve-gas.”

Mulţi analişti , cu toate acestea, cred că până în 2011 indus-tria cazinourilor din SUA nu îşi va revenii din recesiune. Asta ar putea însemna mai multe luni cu venituri în scădere în cursul anului următor.

It comes as no surprise to those who have followed the casino gambling industry in Atlanti c City that revenue decreased in 2009. The New Jersey Casino Control Com-mission released fi gures from 2009, and revenue fell by thirteen percent at AC casino resorts. That was in line with the trend of dou-ble digit losses in each of the fi rst eleven months of the year. “The numbers released to-day are no big surprise,” said Gaming Analyst Steve Schwartz, “The casino industry as a whole has been suff ering through the recession in the US, and those troubles were most visible in At-lanti c City and Las Vegas.” for 2009, AC casinos won $3.9 billion from gamblers.

That fi gure represents a loss of 13.2% from the previous year. The worst of the recession in the US happened in the early to middle months of the year. Even with the decline in revenue, there was some reason for opti mism. In De-cember, there was only a 9.8% drop from the same period the previous year. The casinos made $272 million, and several key executi ves believe that the casinos can turn things around. Many analysts, however, be-lieve that it will not be unti l 2011 when the casino industry in the US fully sees a recovery from the recession. That could mean more months of declining rev-enue during the coming year.
