Allegoric, metaphoric, realistic and figurative sculpture which integrates the intention of monumentality and endurance. It totally contradicts the modern, fast and easy production of plastic or conceptual art. The process of realization of most of the presented sculptures denies the rationalized effectiveness of the fast stylization, which is itself a product of the speed of living. The making of this art is slow and strangely can take years, as the final result is different from the primary intention, the idea becomes clear within the process and at its end. In the creation of such sculpture running time should be slowed down and forgotten and in the perception as well, time is of no importance as it is out of time. There are drawings which were not made for the public – private intentions, which have no claims for modern artistry. This probably makes them authentic and gives tem certain value. The exhibition „Out of Time” presents bronze sculpture compositions by Ventsislav Zankov made in the last 10 years. The exhibition also includes three plastics, which were realized in 2011-2012together with drawings – pencil on paper, realized in the period 2004-2008

Ventsislav Zankov was born on May 1, 1962 in Sofia. In 1988graduated from the National Art Academy, Sofia, "Sculpture". In the period 1997-2008 is honorary, and since 2009 full professor in the department of "Fine Arts" at the university. In 2010 he taughtsculpture and NAA. Among his recent solo exhibitions include: "The last boudoir" sculpture, blood, video gallery "Rayko Alexiev" UBA,Sofia (2011), "New spectral painting / we are all ghosts," gallery "Alley", Sofia (2011) "Post-romanticism. Reloaded "- Bulgarian Cultural Institute - Berlin (2011)," Impossible, Possible. Conceptual designs for urban aestheticism.
