Galleon LED Area and Site Luminaire

2 3

Each of the patented Cooper Lighting AccuLED Optics™ element in the Cooper Lighting LED Light Square renders the entirety of the pattern. As the number of LEDs increases, so does the illuminance, allowing lumen output and energy consumption to be scaled and optimized for each application. The AccuLED Optics system ensures that every lumen produced by the LED is delivered where needed. Uplight, glare, obtrusive spill light and over-lit hot spots are replaced by uniform, application-tailored illumination.

A New Benchmark in Performance and Features The Galleon LED Luminaire delivers a new level of performance and versatility for commercial area, site and roadway applications. Incorporating industry-leading, patented optics, the Galleon LED Luminaire offers a choice of twelve specialized optical distributions that deliver superior optical control and maximize light levels on task. With a choice of nine lumen packages, the Galleon LED Luminaire allows scalability from 8,000 to over 40,000 delivered lumens. 4000K / 70 CRI is standard, with 6000K / 70 CRI and 3000K / 80 CRI options available.

Long Life with Low Maintenance CostsIn addition to delivering superior performance, the Galleon LED Luminaire is designed for low maintenance, long life, and low cost of ownership. These are key benefits that provide compelling justification to retrofit traditional HID solutions, or allow end users to capitalize on these advantages in new construction applications. The Galleon LED Luminaire can be tailored to meet your most important needs without compromising on specification features. The LED components and fixture housing are IP66 rated, which provides years of reliable operation with minimal service requirements.

Engineered for Reliability At Cooper Lighting we believe credibility is key. We are committed to providing LED solutions that meet the highest standards of reliability and performance. Cooper’s deep-rooted understanding of outdoor product markets and application needs has been amassed through decades of supplying quality products, service and support.

The Galleon vs. HID Occupancy Sensor

Capitalize on the Benefits of LEDFor decades, HID technology has been the standard for commercial area and site lighting. New advances in LED efficacy and innovations in optical design have resulted in LED luminaires as the go-to solution for exterior lighting.

Cooper Lighting’s LED solutions provide several benefits over HID. The AccuLED OpticsTM system utilized in the Galleon LED Luminaire produces unparalleled visual uniformity, which translates to even illumination over the entire application. This superior level of uniformity enhances the sense of safety and security, which is critical to providing effective lighting for exterior applications. The AccuLED Optics system also provides enhanced control over the distribution of light. This results in a more effective use of the light on task, while also reducing unwanted spill light behind the luminaire.

The comparison below highlights some benefits of the Galleon LED Luminaire compared to a 400W PSMH luminaire with segmented optics.

When comparing the Galleon LED Luminaire to a common luminaire with an HID light source, equal or slightly increased fixture spacing is typical when designing around minimum footcandle levels. For a larger new construction scenario, the total number of LED luminaires is often lower than the number of HID luminaires required to provide the same minimum footcandle levels. In addition to providing superior illumination, the Galleon LED Luminaire requires less than half of the input power of the typical HID solution.

The combination of superior illumination and significantly reduced power consumption, in a virtually maintenance-free luminaire, are compelling reasons to choose the Galleon LED Luminaire.

Accelerate Payback on your InvestmentTo further enhance energy savings, the Galleon LED Luminaire offers an optional occupancy sensor that is integral to each individual luminaire. When the area surrounding the luminaire is unoccupied, the sensor has the ability to reduce light levels and power consumption. Due to the design of the AccuLED OpticsTM system, only the intensity of light is reduced and there are no changes in the distribution pattern. Two different options are available to accomplish the reduction in light levels and power consumption.

Motion Sensor for Dimming Operation (MS/DIM-LXX) 1

When the MS/DIM-LXX option is selected, the motion sensor is connected to dimming driver(s) and all of the LED Light Squares dim when there is no activity detected. When activity is detected, the luminaire returns to full light output. The sensor is factory preset to dim down to approximately 50% lumen output with a time delay of five minutes. To change these settings, the FSIR-100 accessory can be purchased. The FSIR-100 is a wireless configuration tool that allows the dimming level, time delay, sensitivity, and other parameters to be changed. Consult your Cooper Lighting representative for additional details.

Motion Sensor for On/Off Operation (MS/X-LXX) 2 When the MX/X-LXX option is selected, the motion sensor is connected to a specified number of LED Light Squares. When no activity is detected by the motion sensor, the LED Light Squares connected to the motion sensor turn off. When activity is detected, the luminaire returns to full light output. The sensor is factory preset with a time delay of five minutes. To change these settings, the FSIR-100 accessory can be purchased. The FSIR-100 is a wireless configuration tool that allows the time delay, sensitivity, and other parameters to be changed. Consult your Cooper Lighting representative for additional details.

NOTES: 1. Replace XX with mounting height in feet for proper selection, e.g., MS/DIM-L25. 2. Replace X with number of Light Squares operating in low output mode and replace XX with mounting height in feet for proper lens selection, e.g., MS/3-L25.

Energy Savings and Environmental Stewardship The simplest and most effective way to reduce a lighting fixture’s impact on the environment is to minimize its energy consumption. By incorporating Cooper Lighting’s Light Squares, the Galleon LED Luminaire provides energy savings from 30% to 75% compared to standard HID solutions.

Long LifeWith a 60,000+ hour rated life (at 90% lumen maintenance), the Galleon LED Luminaire operates six times longer than traditional metal halide solutions.

Low MaintenanceWith simple quick disconnects, Light Squares are easily removed in the field for replacement or rotation of optics.

Scalable Illumination with LED Light Squares

Superior Efficiency and Control With efficiencies as high as 95%, the patented AccuLED OpticsTM system is up to 30% more efficient than traditional HID optical systems. Available in twelve beam distributions, the AccuLED Optics system provides the flexibility and performance required for outdoor applications.

Warm White ColorLighting designers, architects and specifying engineers have long preferred light sources that provide a balanced spectral power distribution and warm white light. Many LED solutions standardize on a cold blue 6000-6500K correlated color temperature (CCT) to maximize lumen output. The Galleon LED Luminaire provides warm white light at a standard 4000K CCT with no sacrifice in lumen output.
