SummaryA soil survey was completed over a part of the Galer Lake Fault Property in Almaand Cairo Townships during the fall of 2008. Eighty three soil samples werecollected along 10 transects along the Galer Lake Fault. The samples wereanalysed for 46 elements—by SGS Canada Inc. Minerals Services—using theMobile Metal Ions Technology.

The area bedrock is prospective for gold ± copper/uranium/molybdenumdeposits and is mostly unexplored due to extensive overburden cover. The soilsurvey was designed as a follow up to MMI surveys completed in 2005 and 2006.The objective was to outline geochemical signatures in soils overlying possiblesub cropping metal deposits.

Low to high contrast soil anomalies were delineated by the survey and are anindication of underlying bedrock metal enrichment. Follow up MMI soil samplingshould be completed over the entire property before a program of IP surveying,stripping and drilling is implemented.

Galer MMI Survey 2008 1

Introductionoil sampling and analysis were completed during the fall of 2008 with eightythree samples collected along ten transects on three claims in Alma and

Cairo Twps., Ontario. The samples were analyzed by SGS Minerals Services ofToronto using the Mobile Metal Ion Technology (MMI). The objective of thesurvey was to detect and delineate geochemical signatures in soil overlying undis-covered overburden covered orebodies using the MMI technology in a geologicalsetting favourable for Au, Cu, Mo, U mineral deposits.

PropertyThe property is a group of 4 claims comprised of 37 units and with an area of 592hectares and referred to as the Galer Lake Fault Property.

The claim #'s are: 3009967, 4211856, 4240377, 4240380.

The property is located in southeastern Alma Twp. And northeastern Cairo Twp.,11 kilometres NE of the village of Matachewan, in the Larder Lake MiningDivision of Ontario.

Access to the property is by truck from Hwy 66 northward along theSeparation Lake access road, or northward along the Matachewan First Nationand Browning Lake roads. The sample areas are reached by ATV along oldlogging roads and trails and then by foot through bush.

Exploration History1967: The geology was mapped by Howard Lovell for the Ontario Department of

Mines.1988: A ground magnetic survey was completed over the east side of claim

4240380 by Actuate Resources Inc. File KL-00071990: Geology mapping and sampling were completed over parts of Alma and

Cairo Twps by INCO Ltd. A gold bearing boulder was discovered south of theGaler Lake Fault on claim 4240377. File KL-3025

1992: Trenching, till sampling, and assaying were completed by INCO in the areaof the gold bearing boulder on claim 3009967 and 4240377 in Cairo Twp. FileKL-3176. Magnetic, induced polarization, and resistivity surveys werecompleted by INCO over part of claims 3009967 and 4240377. File KL-3214.

2006: An MMI soil geochemstry survey over 3 lines was completed on claim4240380 by F. Sharpley and T. Link.

GeologyRegional GeologyThe Matachewan area is composed of Archean metavolcanic, metasedimentaryand intrusive rocks which are part of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The Alma andCairo Township area is underlain by tholiitic flows of the Kinojevis group andcalc-alkaline flows and pyroclastic rocks of the Blake River Group. Archeansedimentary rocks unconformibly overlie the volcanic rocks. This volcano-sedimentary assemblage is intruded by Archean mafic sills, dikes and felsicintrusions. Proterozoic sedimentary rocks of the Huronian Group unconformiblyoverlie the Archean rocks.

Numerous north-south faults cut across the region and many have beenintruded by diabase dikes. The Galer Lake Fault, a major fault zone, trends west-south-west across the property and may be a splay off the Larder Lake Break.


Property GeologyThe Galer Lake Property is underalin by syenite porphyry of the Cairo Stock andnorth trending Matachewan diabase dikes that intrude the syenite. The GalerLake Fault strikes west-south-west through Alma and Cairo Twps. A gold bearingboulder—28.4 g/t—was discovered 200 metres south of the Galer Lake Fault byINCO.

Current WorkMMI Soil Geochemical SurveyThe soil samples were collected along lines GLB5W, GLB3W, GLB4E, GLB6E,GLB8E, LG0, LG1E, LG7E, LG9E, LG11E from September 23 to 26, 2008 byAndrew George and Mike Gauthier of Matachewan. The lines were laid out N-Sby compass and measured by chain with 25 metre stations flagged with ribbonand marked with line and station coordinates. The location of each line wasreferenced to the UTM grid by Garmin GPS. The soil samples were collected atthe 25m stations with the sample assay numbers being the same as the stationcoordinates. The sample locations are shown on the Sample Location Maps inAppendix A. A total of 83 soil samples—weighing 400 to 800 grams per sample—were collected using a dutch auger at a depth between 20 and 25 cm below thebottom of the living organics. The samples were placed in plastic bags on site

without preparation and were submitted to SGS Minerals for analysis on Oct. 3,2008. Sample descriptions including location, depth and soil type are presentedin Appendix A.

The MMI analysis measures the metal ions from mineralization that havemoved toward the surface and attached loosely to the surface of soil particles. Thesamples collected were analyzed by SGS Minerals for 46 elements using theMMI-M package. The elements reported are: Ag, Al, As, Au, Ba, Bi, Ca, Cd, Ce,Co, Cr, Cu, Dy, Er, Eu, Fe, Gd, La, Li, Mg, Mo, Nb, Nd, Ni, Pb, Pd, Pr, Pt, Rb, Sb,Sc, Sm, Sn, Sr, Ta, Tb, Te, Th, Ti, Tl, U, W, Y, Yb, Zn and Zr. The MMI analysisdata is shown on SGS Minerals certificate of analysis work order TO103675 inAppendix A.Data Treatment and PresentationData treatment and presentation follows the methods recommended for MMIdata.

Any data that is less than the lower limit of determination(<LLD) has beenreplaced with a value one-half of the LLD for statistical calculations and graphicalrepresentation.

The raw data background value for an element is the arithmetic mean of thelower quartile of the raw data for that element. The background was calculatedusing raw data from transects covered in this report. Raw data background valueswere calculated for selected elements and are as follows:

The response ratio(RR) was calculated by dividing the raw value for theelement at each site by the raw data background value for that element. The RRbackground is always 1.

ResultsResults for selected elements are shown in table 2 below, and are also graphicallydepicted as charts and plan maps in Appendix A. All results are shown in assaycertificate TO103675.


For the purpose of interpretation of results the following rating system is usedbased on other MMI studies and surveys —primarily gold—done in similarglaciated terrain with shallow overburden cover.

— a response ratio of 5 to 20 times background is a low contrast anomalousresponse

— a response ratio between 20 and 50 times background is a moderate contrastanomalous response

— a response ratio greater than 50 times background is a high contrastresponse

Samples with anomalous response ratios are shown in table 2 with responseratios of 5 to 20 highlighted green, 20 to 50 blue and above 50 light red.

Conclusions and RecommendationsThe low to high contrast Ag, Au, Ba, Bi, Co, Cu, Pb and U anomalies suggestunderlying metal enrichment. The best results are on line LG9E from 425N to475N and should be prospected and possibly stripped and/or drilled.

MMI soil sampling should be completed over the entire property, followed byIP surveying and diamond drilling.
