DISCERNING POSTURE
DISCERNING POSTURE
1 Timothy 1:15 The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the
world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.
Philippians 3:17 Brothers, join in
imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us.
DISCERNING POSTURE
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
DISCERNING POSTURE
Ecclesiastes 3:1 For everything there is a season, and a time for every
matter under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to
die; a time to plant, and a time to
pluck up what is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time
to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to
laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to
dance;
DISCERNING POSTURE
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to
refrain from embracing; 6 a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast
away; 7 a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time
to speak; 8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
DISCERNING POSTURE
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who
are called according to his purpose.

DISCERNING PRIORITIES
Acts 16:1 Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a
Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek. 2 He
was well spoken of by the brothers at Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul
wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he took him and
circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a
Greek.
DISCERNING PRIORITIES
Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their
minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the
things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life
and peace.
DISCERNING PRIORITIES
Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than
yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
DISCERNING PRIORITIES
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and
acceptable and perfect.
