Acts 16:1 Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a

Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek. 2 He

was well spoken of by the brothers at Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul

wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he took him and

circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a

Greek.

Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their

minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the

things of the Spirit. 6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life

and peace.

Philippians 2:3 Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than

yourselves. 4 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
