MARINE RESERVEThe Galapagos Marine Reserve

covers an area equivalent to half of the land area of

Ecuador, the second biggest in the world. In its waters you may find species coming from different zones of the pacific.

TORTUGA BAY

Tortuga Bay is a white sand beach with turquoise waters, maybe, one of the most beautiful on the islands. It receives the massive visit of sea turtles at nesting time. It’s located in the south zones of Santa Cruz Islands and the way to get there is by walking forty minutes by a trail between prickly pear cactus forrest.

Isabela is located in the occidental

portion of the Galápagos

archipelago and with his big

neighbor Fernandina, is one of the

newest islands around the zone.

PUERTO AYORA

Puerto Ayora has a privileged location, protected along the shores of the

Bahía de la Academia Bay, normally a busy port full of ships carrying

tourists between the islands, private yachts and fishing. It is also a good

place to observe pelicans, marine iguanas, herons, sea lions, and a

large number of blue-footed boobies. During most of the year it receives

the fresh sea breeze that gives the city a very pleasant climate,

especially during the months of the warm season (December to May).

SAN CRISTOBAL

TINTORERAS ISLET

Tintoreras Islet is located south of the bay

of Puerto Villamil. The journey by boat to

this island will be full of rocky landscapes

and seabirds such as the Galapagos

penguin, blue-footed boobies and marine

iguanas.
