Topic: “Old McDonald” Resources: Group Piano 1

Lesson Step:

1. Singing2. Review the note values:

3. Review the stems:Up stem- use right hand (R.H)Down stem-use left hand (L.H)

4. Activity:a. The teacher will show flash cards of different notes.b. The students will clap according to what kind of note the flash card shows.

5. Piano Time:a. Finger exercises for combining right and left handb. The teacher will demonstrate how to play “Old McDonald”c. Students will play the song individually, by group, and as a class.

At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
