We’re rounding up a big

herd of trophies for our

October 2016 National &

Regional specialties, and

all those awards need

sponsors! Check out the

lists below of trophies

needed for Breed, Sweeps,

Obedience & Rally. The

lists are also posted on the

2016 National page of the

GSCA website. (Trophies

for Agility and Sunday’s

Supported Entry to be

posted soon!) Put your

“brand” on your favorite

trophies by e-mailing or

calling Bonnie Postovit

([email protected] 541-

428-2102) with your

donation pledge.

Don’t delay! Your name

will be listed next to the

trophy in the Catalog,

along with a dedication of

your choice. Plus part of

your donation helps to

cover general expenses of

the specialty, including

ribbons, trophies, judge

fees & expenses, banquet

facility rental, and

hospitality. Your

Oklahoma National a

specialty to remember!

Poyfair and Kappy Zahn

Board Members Absent:

Cornelia King, Doug Hill and

Jennifer Tennison

Christina Tommila has resigned

her position as the Midwest

Director.

Next meeting will be held

March 10, 2016.

Approval of Minutes: Brenda

Cejka

Howard moved that the

minutes be approved as

written.

Treasurer’s Report: Jennifer

Tennison

As Jennifer was absent we did

not vote to approve the

Treasurer’s Report.

Old Business:

There was some discussion

with regards to the judges for

the 2016 National. After

lengthy discussion,

Kappy made a motion to

accept Richard Lewis to

judge the Regional on

Saturday at the National in

Enid, Oklahoma in October

2016.

Howard seconded.

Motion passed unanimously.

There was discussion as to

whether we leave the position

open or look for other

candidates.

We do need to renew our AKC

subscription for show results

and companion events at $420

each.

Howard made a motion to

renew the two subscriptions

for AKC results for

conformation and companion

events at $420 each for a total

of $840.

Kim seconded.

Motion passed unanimously.

Howard reported that the Meet

the Breeds at the Rose City

Classic went really well.

President’s Report:

Robyn Elliott contacted Kim

with regards to website changes

the board has been requesting.

Our webmaster will be

spreading out the changes so as

not to incur additional charges.

No delegate meeting this

month.

Unfinished Business:

Doug has reported that the final

person with the AKC has

reviewed our vote for E-

Balloting and it will be

presented to the AKC Board at

their meeting in February 2016

for approval.

Regional Reports:

Southern:

Howard has visited with Robin

Henderson with regards to the

Regional in June 2016. She is

working on the logo, fund

raising, and auction items.

East:

Janine has nothing to report at

this time.

Midwest:

No report.

West:

Kappy reported that she

contacted Janine Starink to

write an article for Steps with

regards to her experience with

the Judge’s Seminar that she

recently did in the Northwest.

2018 National:

we were going to pair up with

the Bouvier’s in 2018 but that

is not going to work due to

commitments that Purina has.

We could not have it indoors

but we could have it outdoors

in mid October. There were

previously issues with

electricity. Howard will

check with Purina to see if this

issue has been corrected. We

will need a show chair from the
