FLOWERS: The flowers in the sanctuary this weekend are in
memory of Pia Syquia and were donated by her daughter
Tessie Gallahue. Thank you for remembering Pia in such a
special way, as we celebrate the gift of life and the promise of
the resurrection.
MISSION COLLECTION: Thanks to all of you
who contributed to the mission collection for Sister
Mary Kay Druen. Sister Kay spoke to us on behalf of
the Adrian Dominican Sisters and their mission work.

School Music Teacher: Frankfort, KY - Good Shepherd
Catholic Church (715 households) and Good Shepherd Catholic School (140 Elementary/Middle School students)
is seeking a talented Catholic, with organ and piano skills,
basic Catholic liturgical knowledge, and a Kentucky Teaching Certificate to serve in a newly developed
combined position. This full-time position, with benefits,
aims to fulfill a shared ministry position as both our Parish
Music / Choir Director and our Parochial School’s Music Teacher. Our parish has one English choir of 10 members
and one Hispanic Choir of 10 members. Fluency in
Spanish is not required. We are located in Central Kentucky, closely between the metropolitans of Lexington
and Louisville, and Frankfort enjoys four equal seasons

those in need in the Huntingburg, IN., area. Won’t you PLEASE
sponsor a student or chaperone for this mission!!! Last summer
our mission trip shared in over 15,000 hours of service to those
in the Knoxville surrounding area!
Baptisms, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and Marriage, require preparation before entering
life in the Sacraments. First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation, all require a
minimum of one year of religious education before one year of sacramental preparation can begin.

FOURTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME SINGERS WANTED: An open call has been issued for
singers to participate in a concert commemorating the
500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. The concert will be held at Christ the King on Oct. 1 at 2PM
and will feature handbells, a children’s choir, a praise
band, and an adult choir, which will perform the Faure Requiem, Op. 48, backed by an orchestra. The next
practice will be on Tuesday, July 18, at Pax Christi, 7–
9PM. For more details, contact Tony Arnold, the music

wonderful if our parish is represented in this choir. Please
