Congratulations to James and Saranne Sanders who welcomed their gorgeous baby girl - Rosemary Grace into the world on Monday 2nd September!

Our students had a fantastic week showcasing and participating in varied learning opportunities:

PSSA Soccer Knockout: thanks to Mrs Carmel Vickers for her coordination,

Year 11 Metal and Engineering day: thanks to Ms Elwin (Tottenham CS) as the Course Coordinator and Mr Ben Lee for transporting the students,

Year 11 Modern History WWI Day: thanks to Mr Thomas (Peak Hill CS) as the organiser and Mrs Helen Tremain for transporting.

Year 12 Construction: thanks to Mr Chris Nabb (Tullamore CS) who came to YCS to meet with the class,

Our ‘Show Skills’ Creative Curriculum students showing at the Manildra Show on Saturday: thanks to Mr Ken Horley for his organisation.

On top of all that, our Years 7 and 8 FYI class held another successful exhibition – a Film Festival. Well done to all students and to Mrs Debbie Blatch and Ms Gemma Loud who led this project. The students also had support from:

Mrs Fi Hodges in preparing for the exhibition

Mrs Jodie Klein who was the resident technology expert with editing the films and using the green screen

Ms Natasha Freeth who taught a masterclass on nutrition.

P&C meeting will be held tonight in the learning centre at 6pm!

PSSA Soccer

All students played very well against a well

Manildra Show - Our Goats

Yeoval Central School's Agriculture team attended Manildra Show on Saturday 7th September with our goats. The Dairy Goat Section had 5 studs exhibiting their animals on the day. Highlights of the day for YCS were being awarded Champion Doe Kid and Best of Breed for British Alpine and Toggenburg breed classes.

Firsts in British Alpine kid, Toggenburg kid, Dams Progeny and Sires progeny classes. Our animals placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Best Presented Class.

Beau, Lucy and Carleigh all achieved 1st places in their respective Junior Parading Classes. Throughout the show the students supported other exhibitors with showing their animals and helping to pack up equipment and animals at the end of the day.

Beau, Lucy and Carleigh represented our school with pride and were excellent ambassadors for both Yeoval Central School and for the Dairy Goat Society of Australia whose banner the show was run under.
