Fabrication Properties

BIMrx Fabrication extends the functionality of CADmep to the Revit environment allowingusers to spool and detail HVAC and piping with speed and accuracy. BIMrx FabricationProperties allows designers to directly see database properties of fabrication parts directlyfrom within Revit and export data to Excel for bill of materials reporting and estimating.Additionally, BIMrx Fabrications’s hanger placement tool reduces this process from hoursto minutes, determining spacing, hanger types, sizes, insulation and many otherconsiderations. These fabrication tools were developed with direct feedback fromconsultants with years of experience in the shop and field to make sure that the workflowsare accurate and simplify everyday tasks.

One of the biggest challenges for MEP engineers and designers is the number of views andsections required to accurately model duct and pipe. Keeping track of these areas can slowdown a Revit model and can create confusion by the modeling team. BIMrx MEP solves thischallenge by providing a set of tools to model in a single 3D view. A user can accuratelylayout both horizontal and vertical runs of ductwork and piping with the same parametricabilities as before. Users can add documents to new and existing projects within adesignated folder structure as well as display folders, documents and versions forspecified projects.
