Explain to students:
Future tense is often accompanied with the word
“will”
Unless it is being used to talk about “will power”
(mental strength to persevere)
PROCEDURE CONTINUED
Put the following “will questions” on the board:
-What will you do tomorrow?
-Will she go on the date?
-What will we eat for dinner?
-Why will you skip school tomorrow?
-Will you always have money?
Ask your students what the common theme of these sentences is.
Ask them when these sentences are happening (past, present, or
future).
