Iphone 5 Concept Incorporates a Hologram Projector

Here’s a new iPhone 5 concept, this time not too detailed and relying very much on the video at

the end of the article. Created by Waterworks/ Christopher East, this iPhone design relies on

futuristic hologram projections.

Such mechanisms will be used to turn the iPhone 5 into the perfect presentation tool, especially for

architects, car, boat designers and more. Combine that holographic ability with the power of Office

PowerPoint and you’ve got productivity nirvana… or do you?

Technology by Hitachi

Here you are the last bit of our tour at Hitachi exhibition, with the company vision of a “Minority

Report” like interface. Perhaps closer to Microsoft Kinect UI, Hitachi system will let you control any

kind of information display on a TV or by a Video projector, by simply waving your hands in any

directions.

Nothing much to say here since this was just a working prototype, but, Hitachi is working not only

on including this technology in digital signage, but also in the medical area, where doctors can

access data, photo or like on the video below to IRM without touching anything, ideal during

surgery for example, as well as planning to add such technology in both Desktop PCs as well as TV.

Now, Hitachi is working in adding this technology in their TVs since the past two years, and the

launch of Kinect by Microsoft was some kind of wake-up call for Hitachi. If unfortunately Hitachi was

not capable to give any possible date and time on the availability of a TV running this technology,

an Engineer however told us that if Hitachi decided to put on the market a TV using this tech, we

would have to wait until middle of 2011.

Cultivator Food for the Future Mankind

Growing vegetables in the backyard or in front of the house is always a common and enthusiastic

hobby among a range of people. Many people find this hobby an appreciable one, and others

consider this as a total waste of time and energy. But now, it’s time to rethink.

The most crucial problem the future civilization is going to face is the scarcity of food. Meat and

fish would probably be forgotten lot before due to the global environmental disaster and fruits and

vegetables are the only food alternative mankind can rely which would also become hard to be

produced due to the shortage of cultivating land and the unstable weather condition. Origin, an

indoor farm concept, has been designed to tackle such condition by being able to produce

vegetables and fruits and lessen the massive storage requirement for those. This compact and

stylish capsule resembles a lot with our existing storage water purifier which can take seeds and

substrates of the user’s preference as inputs and cultivate the particular item they want.

Cleaning the bathroom is most irksome and time consuming job that I actually try to evade if

possible but many times I don’t succeed and finally, I am seen cleaning the bathroom. Snail by

Korean designer, Dong Hun Seo is a cleaner that lets you clean up your bathroom in hassle-free

manner. The ’snail cleaner’ crawls all around your bathroom tiles to do the cleaning. It’s easy for

the user to attach the snail on the tiles of your bathroom. The best part is you don’t need to get the

batteries or charge it. Snail cleaner is gathers juice directly from the sun to clean the bathroom

Device Stick Talk

This device helps you communicate with people who have hearing difficulties and who are visually

handicapped, even if you don’t know how to read Braille and sign language. If a person whom you

talk to is deaf, speak to the device then it will show what you said on the display. If a user of this

device is deaf, the user easily can express his/her thoughts, even if the other doesn’t know sign

language, by writing sentences on the palm using the stick, then it will sense what you are writing

and either display the text or speak. This function allows conversation to be possible even between

the deaf and the blind.

Portable Power Generator future

‘Cyclus’ is one of the solutions for the power generating without further environmental impact

within everyday circumstance. In nowadays, it is really hard to survive without any electrical

devices where especially urbanised society. Obviously power supplying issue is one of the

fundamental problems to sustain current life cycle, and it can’t be split to consider for further

sophisticated user experience. In reality there are some kind of archetype which already exists in

the current market, for instance solar panel. However these early type of solution also requires

certain user effort (eg, finding a location where appropriate to generate power.). Additionally in the

meantime the device generates power, user can’t move the place.

MP3 Player Innovative Concept

Much like his Fluid Smartphone, Brazilian designer Dinard da Mata has developed another wearable

gadget that becomes a fashion accessory to complement the style of next-gen users. Hailed as

“MP3 Player Creative,” the portable music player features a flexible OLED screen that other than

displaying the playlist also lets the user select the song or control volume with just a touch of a

finger. Worn around the wrist like a bracelet, the MP3 concept gives easy access of the functions to

the user. In addition, the sleek music player includes wireless headphones to offer clutter-free

music on the go.

Concept 2 for 2 for the year 2050 !

In the years to come, technology will take us to a level that become difficult to predict or think

about at present. Nevertheless, there are designers who every now and then come up with a

vehicle that seems fit enough in the future scenario. Here is a vision from Brazilian designer,

Thiago Vieira, who has envisioned a vehicle for 2050.

He has named his vehicle 2 for 2 (also 2f2) which is a design study of a futuristic vehicle intended

for 40 years from now. This vehicle is powered by 90hp electric motor and features aluminium

body structure for urban use. The concept uses less energy to help prolong your ride and is

equipped with various equipments that improve driver’s interaction with the other vehicles.
