Our Humpback Continuous Atmosphere Furnace is an inclined mesh belt conveyor furnace designed to allow

large door openings while providing extremely low furnace dewpoints. This combination assures minimal gas

consumption and maximized operational cost savings.Parts up to 24” high can be processed without negative

effects on the furnace atmosphere integrity.Moreover, the addition of our exclusively manufactured

HyperCooler Accelerated Cooling System will reduce the amount of time the stainless steel dwells in the sensitization

temperature range of 815-425°C (1500-800°F). Improving corrosion resistance versus product cooled via standard

cooling methods.

Straight Through Continuous Furnaces offer continuous product throughput and complete process flexibility. Each section of the furnace has been carefully engineered for ease of equipment operation, maintenance and long life under full production capacities. A folded and compressed ceramic fiber blanket insulation is used to reduce shrinkage and gaps, providing economy, reliability and efficiency. The belt drive is sized to minimize stress and extend operating life. Heavy duty steel construction provides a rigid shell to reduce flexing and providesupport for components. Cooling sections are supported on free moving rollers to accommodate muffle growth, reducing stress and extending muffle life. Controls, instrumentation and components are selected from international suppliers to give you dependable operation and readily available replacement parts.

The C.I. Hayes “VCH” Single Chamber Vacuum Furnace is a horizontally loaded, electrically heated, versatile

batch furnace that may be programmed to run simple or complex thermal profile recipes. It is designed to provide a very uniform heating environment and allows the ability to cool workloads at various pressures ranging from sub-

atmospheric to positive. Cycles may be automatically programmed for repeatable and precise control.

The C.I. Hayes “CV” Continuous Vacuum Series belongs to a family of vacuum furnaces comprised of modules including loading, heating and quenching. The modular and, in this case, continuous premise is to index small lots in a continuous automatic fashion that combines high production with superior product quality. Processing of small lots allows for tighter temperature uniformity within the work area, as well as similar thermal profiles within the work lot – center to edge.

To further increase part quality, the heat chamber module of the “CV” is not thermally cycled. It remains at temperature and under vacuum during production, not exposed to room air except for routine maintenance needs. The modular heat chamber is consequently an extremely pure environment that contributes to the part quality.

Designs of the modular “CV” vacuum furnace can produce up to 1500 lbs/hr (680 kg/hr) reaching temperatures up to 2600°F (1427°C).
