Fundraising across the UK for Pledge150

As part of our 150th anniversary this year, we want to highlight our public interest responsibility and the value of the surveying profession in developing influential solutions to society’s challenges in the UK.

We have partnered with LandAid, the property industry charity, to deliver an inspirational programme to help end youth homelessness and deliver the biggest ever, single fundraising initiative in LandAid’s history.

Our ambitious target is to fund the provision of 150 bed spaces across all 12 RICS regions in the UK. We need your help to protect young people at risk of homelessness and there are many ways you can get involved.

Over the next few pages you will find details of fundraising activities we are undertaking this year across the length and breadth of the country and how you can get involved, network and help us raise funds. From auctions to walking, cycling to an exclusive sale of limited edition whisky. There is something for everyone and it couldn’t be easier to support our initiative.

Let’s finally put youth homelessness to bed.

Fundraising auction and RICS Singers recital, RICS HQ

Join us for an evening’s fundraising auction and enjoy a performance by the RICS Singers as they entertain guests and even get the chance to bid for a private recital by the group. Other auction lots include a limited-edition Tottenham Hotspur Football Club Opus Book; a golf 4 ball with lunch at Gleneagles and a personal tour of the Houses of Parliament.

Be the proud owner of the very exclusive RICS whisky

Scotland

RICS has teamed up with Ncn’ean distillery in the Scottish Highlands to produce 600 bottles of whisky and you can own one, or as many, of these very limited-edition bottles as you like. The two casks of whisky will slowly mature and the first will be ready within 5 years and the second within 10. What’s more, the first 20 people to purchase a bottle from either cask will be in with the chance to visit the distillery watch your whisky cask being filled and partake in whisky cocktails.

Pledge a minimum of £150 for the 5 year whisky and £250 for the 10 year old whisky.

It is shocking to think that in the 21st century in one of the wealthiest countries in the world, 80,000 of our young people won’t have somewhere safe to sleep at night this year.
