Fashion Segment – Fashion Do's & Don'tsI am really excited for this part of the magazine, the *Fashion Segment ! This issue will be showcasing feedback from you guys.

UGH! No way…Dresses over Jeans got the most hate! I totally agree…if you want to look older & frumpy then wear this! Wear a longer hemline top with jeans, not a dress! It spoils the beauty and takes away the glamour! People thing it’s a way to keep “warm”

Most Voted was KNITS! I totally agree! I find myself pulling knits out all the time this Cold winter! Any type of knit will do! They are cute & warm. I love oversized jumpers, leg warmers & knit leggings/skirts paired with lace and anything ox blood (dark red) Layering dresses with knits keeps me warm!

I hope this helps and inspires you when you are picking out outfits for this Winter, I always like to get inspiration and develop my style within the inspiration, these outfits have been designed to be ideal for us girls to wear to school as quick and simple solutions as I know we are all getting tired of having to spend time picking out that *impressive* outfit when you can have it in a SNAP! I hope at least 1 outfit is to your liking!

Let’s start off with our outfit!

Simple4TheSeason

I call this outfit “Casual&Cute” It represents how you can have a cute top and pair it with a cute pair of patterned jeans. These are light floral. I love the jacket to add some warmth in those cold classrooms and the comfy hi – top sneakers are a must have. My hair is usually curled as I sleep with my hair in a braid and I wear simple makeup and sometimes a little bright lip! Remember that your bag does not have to be designer but a cross body is a fabulous option, it’s cute & carries a lot!

1.A jumper-Oversized jumpers are totally in this season, with a cute graphic design they add a nice touch to outfits with even a pop of color!

2. skinny jeans- You can never go wrong with jeans as long as you know how to style them. These jeans make this outfit perfect for school! Ox blood is really in this Winter.

3. Riding Boots-Boots, low cut, riding boots are perfect....you can never go wrong as long as you style them right as they are comfy!

4. Cross body bags- Cross body bags are a must for school. They are not only easy to carry but a stylish touch to any outfit. Bags are a great accessory and this studded purse is edgy but cute!

5. Hair in a side braid- These are easy! I love side braids. They are great and can vary in many different styles. I find that braids don't have to be accessorized but a bow clip or cute hair tie is a great addition.

TOP TIP: Did you know that putting your hair in a braid and sleeping on it can make you hair have texture and cute wavy curls? Drop that curler, BRAID BRAID BRAID ♥

I call this BohoBeauty , I love the pop of the pink dress which I actually layered a thick patterned jumper to make It more winter appropriate. I added a cute headband over slightly curly hair and some big earrings to bring the outfit together alongside some warm tights and combat boots that add a lot of attitude to the outfit. I then added a cross body which I love for school. The color choice enhances color blocking and matches the outfit perfect! Perfect for that girly girl!

I call this outfit “Easy&Cute” I love this outfit. I added a stripped crop top and a big camo jacket. This adds extra warmth to the cropped sweater! I then added some jeans and uggs. This outfit is pretty minimalistic. I really like that about the outfit. With a little black bag and natural hair this is a great outfit for those girls out there with a love for simplicity & style! BE BOLD BE BOLD ♥

♥ Celebrity Looks ♥ Have you ever wanted to know where Taylor Swift gets her classic red lip from? Keep reading! This part to the segment is going to be showcasing great facts about 3 celebrities of the music world.

Taylor remains an Inspiration to many. With her life choices and fashion statements Taylor is known for a classy dress, wavy hair and her signature rep lip. She uses: Covergirl’s Lip Perfection in “Flame”. Taylor has recently released her new album “RED” which many of us love! Taylor will be touring a lot this 2013! Look out TayTay Fans!!

Ke$ha is known for her wild side and passion for fun music. Here style is quite different and she loves to incorporate alterative pieces into her outfits. She recently released a new single called: “Die young” November 2012

Lady Gaga is known for her outrageous dressing and bold attititude. Her outfits range from bright colors to even wearing meat. She is certainly a style icon to some people! She has been touring a lot lately.

This outfit shows what my go – to outfit for school is . I love to stay comfy but cute & I love to add alternative pieces to my outfits as well as layer for the fall/winter. As you can see here I actually am wearing a little black dress with a graphic tee layered over. I then added a blazer style denim jacket to add warmth and texture to the outfit as well as a bright cross body and patterned hi – top sneakers for an extra touch! Don’t forgot the cosy tights to keep you warm while changing classes!

To style the outfits!

I call this “Girly&Relaxed” This outfit is for the type that love to get ready quick but still have that style! As you can see I tucked the slim fitting (only use a tight fitting dress when layering as such or it can give the illusion of a wider body) LBD under a high waisted teal skirt. I added a long pink necklace and a beautiful blazer with a patched material. I love these types of blazers for the winter, great for layering! To finish the outfit off I curled my hair and added some bold makeup seeing as it is quite a natural outfit. I love the black hi – top converse, these are what make the outfit semi casual. This outfit is great to go out with friends or to the mall!

This outfit is called: “SimpleLBD”…perfect for any day I paired a grey knit jumper over the LBD which I paired some tights with for warmth! To give a simple accessory piece I added a brown scarf & I am wearing natural wavy hair! To tip of the Simple and pretty look I added a pop of color which was the hi – top converse! I love these type of converse in case you can’t tell!

MY FAVORITE

This outfit is my favourite! I call it “Edgy Girl” I love all the outfits but I have to say that this one stands out and shows my alternative side! This is my party outfit which of course features my classic LBD and to keep warm I added my favourite sweater! I actually have one like this in Red & grey which I got from H&M. (You’ve probably been seeing the same sorts of pieces, it’s because my style is all about having staple pieces which I recreate in many different outfit forms) I have natural hair as most times and a bright lip to add color to the outfit! I love red & ox blood colors for the winter!

Lastly, my outfit is complete by these trooper style boots with lined black tights! I choose the boots because I am into shoes like that as well as Jeffrey Campbell shoes!

Rain 2012/13 – You are BEAUTIFUL♥

This has been on my mind so I guess i will share, this to all girls and maybe even Boys that have insecurities, we all do....but you are beautiful...in every single way

It has come to the point in the world wear "looks and riches determine your welfare"....that's not right

Every style has a fair place in this world, whether you be girl, chic, emo, punk, scene, rock etc.

It has come to the point where high school can be a place or torture for many girls & even boys.. A place of regret, a place of sadness...a place you never want to remember...

Bullies, teachers, or even the plain environment....

In all these problems it feels like the world is falling apart, breaking into little parts, your falling into a dark pit....I can relate!

Those times you feel like times are too hard and harming yourself is the only way

Those times you feel like there is no HOPE....the times you feel hopeless......

The problem is that we wait to long for people to accept us, call us beautiful, have that kiss, have that friend, fit into that group, for some people its too late...but for those reading this message it's not!

You're beautiful, your size, your face, your skin color, your features, your style, y your everything, it makes you the person you are, made in God's image....made in the unique image God put aside for you.

Don't let the depressions of the world take over, no matter how powerful it seems you honestly need to have hope & faith. You don't need to change yourself for anyone, you are great just the way you are like. Any boy or person that calls you ugly obviously needs stronger contacts or something, you are all beautiful.....but the question is to ALL of us...do we choose to accept it?

Accepting ourselves helps to build our confidence. By not accepting the way we are tends to deflate self confidence and often causes regret. Accepting ourselves can mean a number of things such as accepting our wrongs etc. For me and many of us accepting ourselves translates in many various ways which relate. We may have a hard time accepting our looks but the most important thing is to be proud of our features. When one can’t accept themselves (whether it be looks, shape etc) it seems like the ONLY way out is self harm or even worse but it is important like I said before to believe in yourself…and hold you head high and not have doubts. (Doubt: This is when you have a little faith in yourself which gets overruled by negativity) Now, what can these doubts be caused by? Everything has triggers, so in other words something (bullying or mean words) may aspire you to think that you are ugly whereas you are beautifully made in God’s image. Everyone is one of a kind. So there is NO NORM*! No one can judge you. We all have imperfections which make us unique. Referring back to bullies, bullies normally bully to make themselves feel better. In other words bullies are the people that have problems and they think the only way to make themselves feel better is to pick on others. So for example: You have this pair of shoes which are really pretty and totally you style. These shoes make the bullies feel jealous so they think that the only way to make themselves feel better is to pick on the person with the new pair of shoes. Bullying is termed when a wrong action is done ‘Several Times on Purpose’. The whole point is that we should feel comfortable in our own skin & style… If you don't take anything away from this message take this one statement with you: "Don't judge yourself.....You are beautiful, so hold your head high and be proud...don't let anyone stereotype you, don't let anyone call you ugly and believe it....know WHO you are and be proud"

Rain would want all of you not to be sad or depressed, i don't either...

Thank you to all my inspiring friends, you make me the person I am - But don't make the mistake on depending on friends...you need to get to know a friend before you call the one. A friend is someone there for life, never departing from your side ♥

Thank you for giving us this New Year! We pray that you give us courage like Rain did and the ability to keep on going no matter what! Please help us to have faith in ourselves for WHO we are as we are made in your image. We pray that you help us to get over our insecurities and be the bigger person in all the situations we face.
