Eligible Projects
• The provision extension or upgrading of playing facilities or changing accommodation
• Storage facilities for playing equipment
• Purchase of major items of non-personal equipment (with a 7 year life)

Legacy 2014 Active Places
• £10 million, 2012 – 2015
• Funding for capital projects that provide opportunities for people to get physically active or participate in sport.
• Grants of between £10 000 and £100 000 for a wide range of community-led projects
• Focus will be on informal projects

• Buildings etc not having a life expectancy of at least twice the length of the terms of award
• Free standing administrative areas and committee rooms which are not essential parts of sports facilities.
• Feasibility studies and design competitions
• Speculative purchase of land and / or facilities for utilisation / development in the long term
• Purchase of land and or facilities as a means of saving money on rent

For sportscotland consideration there must be sports development outcomes.
The application should reflect what you need to participate in the sport.
How does your Project develop Sport?
• Funding towards the cost of UKCC endorsed qualifications.
• Individuals or groups of two or more from the same organisation / club can access funding of up to 50% or £150/person of the course fee, whichever is lower.
• Must demonstrate current coaching involvement
• Level 1 subsidy via sportscotland UKCC
• Level 2 and above subsidy via SGB

Direct Club Investment
Focused on strengthening club sport by delivering on two key outcomes:
•Growth in club membership
•Growth in clubs which provide the correct environment to develop athletes to performance levels
