Our vision for this project includes:

• Commitment to hospitality: Boutique hotel experience with simple luxury and sustainability as core ideals. Friendly, helpful, engaged staff; clean, cozy antique-filled rooms with locally sourced pampering amenities.

• Commitment to community: Creative local resourcing and hosting of community building events. This location is a gather place for all.

• Commitment to the past and future: Preservation of the historic nature of the building and town, while upgrading infrastructure in alignment with sustainable building and business practices.

From "Just a Dream" to Reality

Hi, I’m Josiah Dean. I’ve always loved historic inns

and have had the privilege to manage incredible

properties in and around national parks, from Alaska to Maine. I’ve

always dreamed of having my own hotel to run.

Complementary Skills, One Vision

I am Claire Sierra. For years I’ve had my own

vision of having a retreat center. I’ve been leading

people in personal transformation for over

2 decades. I’ve longed for a place where

people can rest, restore and revitalize.

The Opportunity

We found a wonderful opportunity to fulfill our visions in the Historic Balch Hotel in the Columbia Gorge area of Oregon. It is a beautiful property with ample common space and gorgeous park-like grounds for weddings, events and retreats.

What We Need

To bring the hotel to the "next level" we need operating capital to improve the infrastructure as well as invest in marketing and promotion.So we’re coming to you to support our vision. We need your help.
