Meet ‘The Fully Styled Spaces’ Marketplace!The Fully Styled Space Marketplace is where you will connect and collaborate with Airbnb hosts who

are looking to decorate their space in a stylish, unique way.

Upload your designs for Hosts to review & request!You have complete flexibility on what decor options you offer Airbnb Hosts, so start getting creative!

We suggest uploading your designs as either Decor Items and/or Decor Sets.

SUGGESTED DECOR SETS

We strongly recommend that you create Decor Sets which comprise of a full set of items that the Host can order from you. This not only provides ease and inspiration to the Host, but encourages them to purchase multiple items from you.

This will take more time as you’ll need to start thinking like an interior designer. We recommend using something like Polyvore.com to make a collage of your Decor Set, which can then be uploaded as an image into the FSS marketplace.

DECOR ITEMS / DESIGNS

You can upload your designs as individual Decor Items or designs such as a cushion, wallpaper designs, or patterns.

This format enables the Host to search for specific items, however do keep in mind that the real opportunity with Fully Styled Spaces is that you can sell hosts multiple items in one go. This is where the Decor Sets come in.

Start by creating your profile.

Airbnb hosts will send you a message if they are

interested in your offering.

Upload a Design Item or Decor Set and specify your Placement Terms.

Collaborate with the Host to finalise designs of the

arrangement.

FSS will help to connect you with Hosts, where you can then start collaborating

with the work required for their needs.

How much can you earn?It is up to you. You can use FSS as a way of creating cost effective promotional opportunities,

driving sales or some where in between.

When you upload your designs, you will be asked to provide your Decor Placement Terms. As part of this you set expectations on what the Host can expect to pay and in return for what.

We provide you with three suggested formats to get you started…

FREE PLACEMENT

You can offer to place your decor within the Host’s space based on the condition that they promote your work and online shop in the way you define.

For example, your terms may be…. “I will provide you placement of X, Y, Z in return for:

a) my beautifully designed coffee table book promoting my work is displayed on your coffee table

b) my business cards to be available for guests to take with them

c) a small price label to be placed next to my artwork on the wall.”

SUBSIDISED PLACEMENT

As per Free Placement, Subsidised Placement allows you to offer a discounted rate for the purchase of items placed within the space.

During your collaboration with the Host you will come to agreement of final cost and terms.

PURCHASED/LEASED PLACEMENT

You can also offer a flat out purchase or lease price for decor.

Tips.Once you’ve created your profile, you can then start adding your designs. They can be in the form of

Decor Items OR Suggested Decor Sets.

TIP 3

If you’re an artist or photographer who has been using Society6 or RedBubble to create your products, keep in mind that up until now you’ve most likely been focused on applying your art to various formats like cushions, and towels.

It’s now time to start thinking like an interior designer. For example, if your suggesting to the host that they should have a have strong illustration on a cushion and on the wall, then make sure you balance it out with matching block colors.

This may mean, you’ll need to offer some block colour cushions, or throw rugs.

TIP 1

Put yourself in the shoes of a Host looking to decorate their space. Think about styles that would appeal to their guests.

Talk to Airbnb hosts, rent an Airbnb or two as research and get a reach feel for what will work.

TIP 2

As you create your Decor Sets, have a think about the kind of Airbnb experience you can help to create. Do you have a theme of nature or modern, chic or rustic? Think about where the Airbnb could be that your Decor could be used? Is it rural, in the city or on the beach?

Can you create a theme that is based on a particular locality or theme?
