1. Actively maintained 600 servicemens’ personal docket folder. 2. Assisted the unit officer (of Captain rank) in anchoring the

army’s welfare programme in the unit. 3. Conceptualized and managed the mass enlistment and

graduation of 1200 soldiers. 4. Forecasted and monitored key courses for the Regular

servicemen in the unit. 5. Co-ordinated and prepared a staff team of 7 for the annual

Human Resource Audit.

Achievements

February 2011 Captain - Present The 25th Singapore Boys' Brigade Company Hillgrove Secondary School I am in charge of a uniformed group in a high school, volunteering every Saturday morning to impart a myriad of hard and soft skills such as footdrill, first aid, and team management to an average of 50 male students aged between 13 and 17 years old. I have joined the Brigade since 1992 and rose through the rank and file to be promoted to the rank of Captain, the highest in the Brigade for a non full-time staff, in 2011.

August 2009 Performance Manager - August 2010 School of Art, Design and Media Nanyang Technological University I ensured that the faculty's band outfit, consisting of an upward of 30 members, is musically ready for music performances. Past notable gig venues include Zouk and *scape.

April 2008 Certificate of Service (with Testimonial) 40th Singapore Armoured Regiment Singapore Armed Forces I received a testimonial from the unit's Lieutanent Colonel (Commanding Officer) when I left the service, which is only awarded to servicemen who has attained an 'Outstanding' rating (the highest) for both his performance and conduct throughout the tour of duty.

January 2007 Best Soldier 40th Singapore Armoured Regiment Singapore Armed Forces I received the Best Soldier award in January 2007. It is an award that is reserved for the most outstanding soldier in the entire battalion.

Interests

Tennis I play tennis on a recreational basis, about twice a week.

Music/Guitar I play both the acoustic and electric guitar regularly for music gigs. I am completely self-taught. I mainly listen to blues guitarists like Eric Clapton, B.B. King and John Mayer, etc.
