The Student Visa

You all have been issued a long-term Student Visa:Habilita a permanecer en España para la realización de cursos, estudios, trabajos de investigación o formación, intercambio de alumnos, prácticas no laborales o servicios de voluntariado, no remunerados laboralmente.

It allows you to study or research in Spain.

It is valid for 90+ days from the date of issue.

It is a multiple entry visa: you can leave Spain and re-

enter as many times as you wish.

It does not give you the right to work nor sign any type

of work contract (Autorización de trabajo required).

Visa Example

T.I.E. (Residency Card)

TIE = Tarjeta Identidad Extranjero

NIE = Número Identidad Extranjero

You must apply for your TIE within 30 days of your entry to

Spain, as stamped on your passport.

If you have entered Spain via a Schengen country, the entry

stamp from that country is not enough. In this case:

You need to submit a copy of your boarding pass to Spain,

and show the original.

The process is slightly different in each city.

Example of Entry Stamp
