Our Top Priority Operating under Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. which is a 100% owned by FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation of Japan recently, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Limited has adopted the long-term Sustainable Value Plan (SVP) 2030 developed by FUJIFILM Holdings and various group-wide sustainability initiatives implemented by FUJIFILM Holdings and Fuji Xerox. For example, as one of the first Asian companies in the copier/ multi-function printer (MFP) industry meeting the carbon emissions target under the Science Based Targets initiative, FUJIFILM Holdings is aligned with the scientific basis for achieving the 2ºC goal of the Paris Agreement, and the group strives to achieve a 30% reduction in the volume of carbon emitted across the entire product lifecycle by the fiscal year of 2030 (FY2030) compared to FY2013. In 2019, FUJIFILM Holdings also joined the international initiative “RE100”, led by The Climate Group in partnership with the Carbon Disclosure Project, with a commitment to source 100% renewable electricity for its footprint internationally and hence achieve zero carbon emissions by 2050. Setting its eye on these goals, Fuji Xerox leverages its position in the paper-use supply chain to influence its suppliers and customers. The company announced its support for the Vancouver Declaration in December 2017, under which 70 global corporates have pledged to strengthen their ethical sourcing

commitment in partnership with the Forest Stewardship Council™. By further increasing the use of materials from responsibly managed forests in the region and streamlining its business operations, Fuji Xerox will further reduce its global carbon footprint across its value chain.

As a local sustainability pioneer, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) also endeavors to create value through our business activities, including the launch of innovative products, solutions and services that contribute to solving sustainability issues.

Looking BackwardFuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has foreseen the impact that waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) could exert on the environment. Based on the principle “Used products are valuable resources, not waste”, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has proactively promoted circular economy by sending all used products to our cross-border integrated recycling system in Thailand since 2004, which achieved a material/thermal recycling rate over 99.5% (zero landfill). In mid-2018, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) changed its recycling strategy in preparation for the importation ban of WEEE in Thailand and the newly issued WEEE regulation in Hong Kong. With the full implementation of the Producer Responsibility Scheme on WEEE in Hong Kong on 1 August 2018, we shouldered our obligations as a registered supplier and comply with the Product Eco-responsibility (Regulated Electrical Equipment) Regulation by working with local recyclers for material recycling. By minimizing sea transportation, our carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions have been further reduced.

Meanwhile, as we advocate resource sustainability and strive to achieve Goal 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we help companies optimize their business operations and governance with our Smart Office solutions, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is one of the highlights. According to Gartner’s estimates, by 2020, automation and artificial intelligence (AI) technology may reduce the manpower requirement of the shared services centers by as much as 65%. This motivates us to share our experience and one-stop solutions with enterprises from different industries. For example, we assisted a client from the garment industry in speeding up the classification, certification and inspection processes of the sales team, procurement and finance departments via RPA.

In FY2018, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) reduced its CO2 emissions by 2.7%. However, we recorded a drop of 13.2% in volunteering hours due to resources reallocation to other business priorities.

Moving Forward In this globalization era with overflowing information of various forms, it is easy to get access to desired information but challenging to take full advantage of it. With our in-depth analysis on customer behaviors and challenges, we have transformed communication by integrating paper data and digital data seamlessly with cloud services and mobile solutions. We realize that better communication will empower our customers to leverage only the necessary information and hence to create measurable business outcomes.

In FY2019, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) will continue to work hard to achieve the SDGs with our cutting-edge technology by focusing on Smart Work Innovation. This is a series of comprehensive solutions and services that streamline both general and professional workflows through Fuji Xerox’s proprietary Document AI technology, next-generation

security technology, the Internet of Things and Internet of Humans technologies. With these advanced technologies, we will assist our customers in re-engineering their document management processes, ensuring seamless integration into their current information technology (IT) infrastructure, transforming document intensive processes and enhancing customer communications to create a secured communication environment. To stay competitive, we must seize the opportunity of digital transformation. We will continue to promote the promising technology of RPA and apply it to smart office solutions so as to help companies take the lead in the new era. For instance, we have optimized our environmental, social and governance (ESG) data management tool (iESG 2.0) by integrating RPA technology into platform applications and leveraged the powerful capabilities of “software robots” to address the disclosure requirements for key performance indicators in environment aspect.

I hope you enjoy reading this Sustainability Report to learn more about our goals and sustainability efforts, and we look forward to receiving your comments and feedback through the feedback form or [email protected].

CSR ManagementAdhering to FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation’s Sustainable Value Plan (SVP) 2030 and Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd.’s commitment to be “open, fair and clear”, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has been striving to exceed stakeholders’ expectations in every aspect, address customers’ concerns timely and create value to stakeholders.

Our parent company Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. first published the Fuji Xerox Environmental Progress Report 1998 in 1999, followed by the Environmental Report from 2000 to 2002 and eventually the Sustainability Report https://www.fujixerox.com/eng/company thereafter. Inspired by this corporate culture, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) regards sustainability reporting as a viable stakeholder engagement channel and an integral part of our strong relationship with all stakeholders. Although we are not a listed company and are not

obligated to publish this report in Hong Kong, we still hope to ensure the integrity of our decision-making processes, enhance our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management and comply with international, local and industry requirements under the GRI Standards through active disclosure. Ultimately, we aim to create a positive impact for our stakeholders by further advocating local changes, addressing social issues and fostering a stronger bond with the society.

Material Aspects and Stakeholder EngagementFuji Xerox (Hong Kong) undertakes regular materiality assessments to identify pertinent issues in accordance with the GRI standards and evaluate their relevance to our business and stakeholders. We have also adopted other applicable guidelines and principles, such as AccountAbility’s AA1000 Standards.

Since we published our first Sustainability Report in 2010, we have defined the report’s material aspects by reviewing the feedback from the Fuji Xerox Annual CSR Survey, which was developed based on international and Japanese standards and guidelines, including but not limited to the UNGC Ten Principles, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives’ New Corporate Assessment Standards and United Nations SDGs.

Through this materiality assessment that takes local benchmarking platforms into consideration, the voices and opinions of internal and external customers are included through the following key channels:

• “Green Tour”: First introduced in 2010, this is an innovative two-way communication platform through which stakeholders are invited to visit our carbon neutral facilities. In FY2018, four tours were organized and a total of 61 stakeholders visited our facilities.

• Stakeholder Engagement Questionnaire: We invite our stakeholders to provide feedback on our performance in the environmental, social and economic areas. In July 2019, all employees, instead of the invited staff members only, were invited to participate in the survey for the first time.

The feedback was categorized and formed a materiality matrix that reflected the frequency of an issue referenced by various stakeholders. Topics in the “High-High” area of the Materiality Matrix Diagram were classified as material matters, and other matters indicated would also be discussed.

Engagement with Global Environment

Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) released its Environmental Protection Policy in 1985 and replaced it with our Sustainability Policy in 2010. Since the adoption of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in the second half of 2002, we have incorporated sustainability into our core business activities and pursued continuous improvement through our PDCA improvement cycle. We fully support the regional efforts of our parent company in embedding sustainability into all aspects of the product lifecycle, from sourcing of parts and materials, assembly, processing, logistics and end-user power consumption, to product recycling and disposal. Following the SVP 2030, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has been actively addressing the global climate change issue by not only preserving forest resources and environment, but also making effort to reduce CO2 emissions globally via proactive carbon offset initiatives.

Engagement with Local Communities

As a responsible corporate citizen in Hong Kong, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) responds to the society’s expectations and is motivated by high ideals. Committed to supporting the cultural development and creating a better society, we serve people from all walks of life, particularly those in need, through our strong and caring “Volunteer Network”. We have initiated and promoted various volunteering programs, ranging from environmental conservation, child welfare to cultural preservation. Furthermore, we have been actively seeking opportunities to collaborate with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and institutions to create greater synergy. To inspire the next generation, we have regularly collaborated with universities and academic institutions and organized “Green Tours” for students to encourage them to integrate innovative Information and Communications Technology (ICT) applications into their daily lives. While the achievements so far have been encouraging, we understand that more still need to be done to sustain positive changes in the community. Therefore, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) will continue to make the best use of our expertise and competencies to make meaningful contribution to the society.

Engagement with Shareholders/Investors

Risk management, compliance and governance are popular terms among businesses. At Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong), risk management is understanding all business uncertainties and taking appropriate actions to manage them, and compliance means adhering to policies and regulations. Governance is allowing stakeholders to engage in every part of the compliance journey. As such, we have implemented robust management systems, processes and mechanisms to govern our operations and give our stakeholders a greater voice.

Governance and OrganizationCorporate governance is one of the most important agendas to Fuji Xerox. It is the cornerstone of its Mission Statement and Shared Values and contributes to the sustainable development of the society.

At Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong), the Managing Director Office – chaired by the Managing Director and supported by a Senior Management Committee (SMC) – develops its annual plans based on Fuji Xerox’s operational guidelines to cover all governance matters. These plans and their objectives are then well communicated to all employees via meetings.

Building on our governance structure, the Management Review Committee was established according to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System and ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System. It is responsible for supporting the corporate governance framework and formulating comprehensive guidelines, policies and procedures. Periodical reviews are also carried out to ensure the overall effectiveness of our systems and facilitate necessary improvements. At the department level, managers and their teams further proactively maintain and operate the management systems and promote CSR awareness inside and outside the company.

Risk Management and ComplianceStriving to incorporate risk management and compliance into every aspect of our operations, the senior management team meet regularly to identify, discuss and determine key risk management issues. As part of the continual improvement process under the PDCA cycle, the Japan Quality Program has been embedded in our management framework. The program consists of eight criteria, each of which is given a different weighted score (total score 1,000 points). This does not only help us better assess our current situation from a holistic perspective, but also highlights the effectiveness of our management objectives and identifies key areas of sustainable development.

Chapter 4Currently, the program works in synergy with the Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley (J-SOX) requirements, which introduces strict rules for the internal control of financial reporting to protect investors by improving the accuracy and reliability of corporate disclosures, as well as other standards and guidelines that help Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) to manage risks properly.

Our general legal and financial policies form the foundation of our compliance and internal controls. We conduct self-assessments, audits by external management system auditors and rigorously benchmark legal compliance to maintain the integrity of our general business processes. Since April 2019, we have fully embraced the revised Fujifilm Group Charter for Corporate Behavior and Code of Conduct. In the Charter, we pledge to respect human rights, as well as observe both the spirit and the letter of all laws, regulations and international rules. In addition, it takes into account the impact of the group’s activities and, through innovation, proactively works toward creating a sustainable society. The Code ensures that we are engaged with stakeholders and enabling two-way dialogue (being open), complying with rules in a just and impartial manner (being fair), being responsible for our own decision making and actions and ensuring transparency with honesty and integrity (being clear). To maintain our “open, fair and clear” corporate culture, Fuji Xerox always prioritizes compliance even if the compliance requirements may restrict the profits or conflict with the requests from third parties.

Although Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) is not listed in Hong Kong, we attach great importance to internal controls and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) compliance. We continuously review the required elements and other key subjects that go beyond the scope of our certified ISO systems and local policies and procedures.

Empowering Enterprises through Innovation We have been incorporating the fast-rising robotic and intelligent automation technology into smart office solutions to empower enterprises to take the lead in the era of digital transformation. These solutions not only improve their productivity, but also enhance process tracking and responsibility management.

Unlocking Corporate Potentials through ApeosPort-VII / DocuCentre-VII Series Multi-function Printer

Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) introduced the ApeosPort-VII / DocuCentre-VII series, a revolutionary multi-function printer (MFP) that features extended standard functions using dedicated connectors in January 2019. Utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Business Process Management (BPM), companies can improve their human resources management and efficiency and seize future development opportunities with improved file management and system security.

To ensure a 7x24 printing service, the ApeosPort-VII / DocuCentre-VII series takes advantage of cloud connectivity to connect up to seven cloud service platforms with automated Optical Character Recognition (OCR), which allows customers to find files quickly when necessary. In addition, enterprises can leverage the Xpress Report service and the usage log to effectively control printing costs. They can also automate the printing process, eliminating the inconvenience caused by repetitive operations.

Besides, the MFP is equipped with an adjustable 10.1 inches color touch panel that operates as simple and intuitive as a smart phone in controlling basic functions such as printing, copying, scanning and faxing through the Near Field Communication technology, which allows users to transfer pictures and web pages stored in the mobile phone to the printer. In addition, up to 30 frequently used functions can be set up for one-touch operation. Meanwhile, the device boasts a comprehensive upgrade in security protection. From device usage to file creation, internal and external file sharing access rights can be set and potential backup mechanisms established for all scanned files. The new Trusted Platform Module further enhances the encryption of MFP since the system’s root password is stored on the Trusted Platform Module side, and users do not need to set a long and different password for hard disk encryption.

Chapter 5Achieving Customer First and Safety FirstProviding holistic services and enhancing customer experience are always our top priorities. As we follow the stringent customer satisfaction commitment under our Customer Satisfaction Guidelines, we also attach high importance to product safety in accordance with our “safety first” principle.

Provision of Safe, High-quality Products, Solutions and Services

In order to drive innovation in product safety, Fuji Xerox published the Basic Policies on Quality Assurance and the Fuji Xerox Product Safety Key Principles to ensure all products are safe and quality assurance activities are strictly in line with international standards. Throughout the product lifecycle, we use only materials that comply with the Green Procurement Standards, our internal standards that address environmental pollution and toxicity and aligned with international and local regulatory requirements.

As Fuji Xerox products with proven quality are delivered to various companies operating in the Asia-Pacific, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) will conduct further control processes upon receiving information about these products to ensure they are safe and of the best quality. We also provide on-the-job training in corporate regulatory compliance procedures, preventive measures against product safety incidents and continual product safety improvements for our employees, so as to promote the culture of product safety and raise customers’ awareness of safety issues.

Creating Values Based on Customer Satisfaction

To ensure our offerings always meet customers’ ever-evolving demands, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has long been working towards a unique “3R+V” Customer First Strategy. In other words, we expect all colleagues to demonstrate a high level of “Reliability” and “Responsiveness” and endeavor to establish “Relationship” when creating “Value” for customers. Besides, we have adopted various engagement events, surveys, systems and processes to create or maintain a good customer experience. For years, our dedicated client consultants have conducted follow-up calls or undertaken on-site service visits to customers regularly under the Initial Customer Care Program. The voices of customers (VOC) have been well managed under our unique VOC System to ensure instant responses until closure through follow-up actions, analysis of customer feedback and anticipation of future customer needs.

Meanwhile, customer compliments are one of valuable VOC sources that can motivate us to make further improvements. In FY2018, we were delighted to receive over 12,600 compliments from our customers that drove us towards achieving service excellence and contributed towards sustainability directly. Under our Visible Green Initiatives program, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) purchases no less than 80 kg of carbon offsets for every compliment received in support of a wind farm project that promotes renewable energy. In total, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) purchased 1,014 tonnes of carbon offsets and donated nearly HK$16,000 under the program during FY2018. We will continue with this initiative in FY2019 to promote renewable energy and remain a carbon neutral operation, a goal we have been achieving since FY2014.

Driving to fulfill our “Zero Landfill” commitment, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) commits to be a “Good

Company” in the community of Hong Kong. For every compliment we received, we will purchase carbon

offset* of no less than 80 kg in support of a wind or solar farm project for promoting renewable energy.

This will help to create a Greener living planet and sustainable environment for next generation.

In FY2018, our engagement with GRI was deepened by joining the Project Working Group for reviewing the waste disclosures in the GRI Standards, and we were honored to be the only member from Asia alongside with other 14 members from different fields. Regarding the significant environmental and social impact of some waste streams, such as plastic and electronic wastes, we shared our best practices in integrated recycling which helped achieve circular manufacturing. The draft waste standard was released for public comment and the final standard is scheduled to be published in 2020.

Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) co-hosted the GRI Regional Hub China Annual Meeting (Hong Kong) for the third consecutive year on 23 November 2018.

Value Creation through Partnering with Our StakeholdersThrough multi-channel communications, we have been creating shared value with our stakeholders. As a dedicated supporter of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) development in Hong Kong, we work closely with industry practitioners in promoting ESG management and reporting and organize informative seminars and workshops for our customers and other stakeholders for stakeholder engagement.

In July 2018, we co-organized a seminar with Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA) on the business value of ESG disclosures. A representative from the Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited (HKEx) was invited to share her insights into listed companies’ ESG reports. The seminar also showcased the business value of ESG data for enterprises, as well as the trend of green finance in Hong Kong.

Ms. Ellie Pang, Vice President of Policy and Secretariat Service Unit, Listing Department, Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited (2nd from right), shared her insights into the ESG reports issued by listed companies from the perspective of a listing regulator.

Embracing Smart Office - Sustainability Meets InnovationFuji Xerox (Hong Kong) supports our customers with innovative technologies that help them simplify work, connect with the world, enjoy personalized experiences and improve productivity in an environmentally friendly way. Green features are also prioritized in our product design so as to contribute to a low-carbon economy. Therefore, we have been actively promoting smart workplace that connects people with data and actionable information.

We regard our customers as business partners in innovation and identifying new opportunities through the application of technologies. Our locally developed iESG 2.0 data management tool is an upgraded version that took customers’ feedback into consideration.

Technologies like Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) are shaping businesses processes. To help companies embrace the new positive changes, our multi-function printer (MFP) is equipped with OCR technology that automates data input flow in iESG. Users could simply scan the utility bills using the MFP. The data and bill images will then be auto-captured and uploaded to the iESG cloud-based platform. We are also exploring the automation possibilities enabled by RPA in iESG. These enhancements can minimize human errors, hence enhancing ESG data accuracy and governance.

To strengthen our connection with academia and students, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) teamed up with the Environmental Management and Technology program of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in January 2019 to serve as the corporate advisor on final-year projects. This collaboration would allow students to apply their knowledge under the supervision of our colleagues and gain hands on experience in the sustainability field. As part of the partnership, a database of ESG information of Hong Kong listed companies was developed, and the deliverables in July 2019 provided a comprehensive data set and solid ground for iESG module development.

Sustainability is embedded in our corporate DNA and drives us to build trust in society and maintain growth as we forge ahead in the fast-moving business world. Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) strives to create a sustainable pathway with our business partners, customers and other stakeholders in the era of digital transformation. With our expertise in document management and communication, we have created sustainable intelligence and business success.

Managing Operations Pursuant to International Sustainability StandardsFuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has been actively improving our environmental, energy and carbon management through benchmarking against sustainability pioneers and international standards.

Managing Green Supply Chain

Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) attaches high importance to sustainability in our procurement process and supplier engagement as we want to ensure that our suppliers and partners adopt sustainable business practices through the 360° of Sustainability™, a holistic lifecycle covering every aspect of our environmental performance management from initial procurement, manufacturing process, customer usage to end-of-life disposal.

By incorporating ISO 20400:2017 Sustainable Procurement – Guidance into our procurement process in 2017, we have seized the opportunities to create value by improving productivity, assessing performance, enhancing communication between stakeholders, especially suppliers and purchasers, and encouraging innovation.

Contributing to “Zero” Environmental ImpactsCommitted to incorporating sustainable solutions into every part of our value chain, we strive to minimize our environmental footprint with the help of advanced technologies and our dedicated team. Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) continuously promotes and conceives various initiatives to minimize carbon emissions. We are proud of having achieved carbon emission reduction (2.7% in FY2018) for 11 consecutive years through the following actions.

In FY2018, we took a further step to achieve carbon neutral operations by purchasing carbon offsets from a wind farm project in South India. The project supports local villages by offering the villagers better access to electricity, improved air quality, significant water conservation and new job opportunities.

Besides, we reduced carbon emissions from sea transportation as the Producer Responsibility Scheme on WEEE covering regulated electrical equipment was fully implemented in Hong Kong last year. In light of the stricter recycling related regulations in place worldwide, we appointed local recyclers to handle used multi-function printers, spare parts and consumables since December 2018.

Fuji Xerox also conducts regular CSR assessments with all suppliers to ensure their compliance with our requirements. Self-checks by suppliers, basic on-site checks by Fuji Xerox in-house auditing team and detailed on-site analysis by experts are included in the assessment. Locally, adhering to ISO 14001 EMS and other management systems, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) has developed comprehensive surveys to monitor our suppliers’ sustainability performance, which will be reviewed biennially.

To help create a sustainable society, FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation launched the “Green Value Products” certification program in compliance with ISO 14021 Environmental labels and declarations in July 2018 to certify group-wide products and services that meet specific criteria on environmental consciousness, such as “climate change mitigation,” “resources saving and recycling” and “risk reduction of chemical substances”.

Employee Engagement and Satisfaction At Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong), we regard the wellbeing of our people as a cornerstone of our continuous success. In FY2018, we launched Blissful Leave to highlight the importance of work-life balance. Employees are entitled to 25 days of Blissful Leave per fiscal year to celebrate their precious moments. The initiative was well received by the employees. Over 1,500 days of leave were taken in FY2018, with birthday, wedding anniversary and marriage among the top three reasons.

Apart from Children’s Graduation Leave, we also implemented a series of family friendly employment initiatives to support working parents. On the Christmas Eve of 2018, we organized a Christmas Do It Yourself (DIY) Parent-Child Workshop for our employees and their children, who worked together to decorate a Christmas glass sphere lamp.

In light of the enthusiastic responses to the Lunar New Year Bazaar in the previous year, we organized the Mid-Autumn Festival Bazaar at our head office in FY2018 where our employees could purchase a great variety of festive groceries and daily products at discounted prices. They had a great shopping time during office hours and saved much time in preparation for the festive celebrations.

To further foster an enjoyable work environment, a DIY mini aquarium workshop was organized on 5 and 12 October 2018 to teach the participants to create their own mini aquaria. The workshop not only allowed our employees to relax, but also deepened their understanding of the ecosystem.

Employees’ opinions and satisfaction are highly valued at Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong). To gauge our employee satisfaction, we conduct the anonymous Employee Engagement Survey annually. In FY2018, we received a high response rate of 97% and learnt that we performed best in “Governance”, demonstrating the encouraging results of ensuring an “open, fair and clear” business operation. The survey results also showed our strengths and, more importantly, inspired us to apply the PDCA improvement process to handle areas for improvement.

While Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) strives to create, change and innovate for a sustainable future, we keep listening to the views of our employees on our sustainability journey. Some insightful ideas have been considered to facilitate our pursuit of sustainability.

Community Engagement Since becoming part of Fuji Xerox in 2000, we have been striving to promote the development of local and global communities, especially in terms of social contribution and environmental conservation, manifesting our “Good Company” concept.

First in 2016 and again in 2018, we were honored to receive the Social Capital Builder (SCB) Logo Award from the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) of the Labour and Welfare Bureau. The award recognized our achievements in six core social capital areas, including social networks, social participation, information and communication, trust and solidarity, mutual-help and reciprocity, and social cohesion and inclusion.

The factory visit to Fuji Xerox of Shenzhen was another eye-opening experience for our trainees. During the visit, they were impressed by the streamlined operations, the rigorous standards and importance of workplace safety in a factory setting. The initiatives about robotic automation in improving productivity and continuous improvement enlightened the trainees on the final project of their two-year training program.

The trainees incorporated what they had learnt in both the Japan tour and the Shenzhen factory visit to develop an innovative idea for their final project. It is a continuous improvement project called “Genko-Itchi”, aiming to strengthen processes, enhance capability of problem management and deliver value added services to customers. Through the project, the trainees gained a better understanding of the workflow and were motivated to develop a sense of ownership and meaning at work.

To keep the trainees shining, the Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Academy provides them with various opportunities to enroll in professional information and communications technology (ICT) qualification courses, such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) course that focuses on aligning IT services with the business needs to improve the understanding of the lifecycle of IT changes as well as how to manage it successfully.

Mr. Nobuhiko Inui (4th from right, front row), Chairman and President of Fuji Xerox of Shenzhen Ltd., welcomed the participants warmly.

In FY2018, we kept up our efforts to contribute towards our community and environment as much as possible for a sustainable future. On 11 November 2018, we set up a booth at the 2018 Caritas Charity Bazaar - Kowloon to raise funds for Caritas Hong Kong and support its programs serving the underprivileged. Since we also wanted to raise the public awareness of a green lifestyle and sustainability, we sold eco-friendly washing powder and reusable straw set and organized a DIY workshop of creating reusable shopping bag.

Our volunteers joined the Tree Plantation Day and the Shoreline Clean-up Operation for a greener and more sustainable Hong Kong.

To fulfill the SDG Goal 13 - Climate Change, Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) participated in the “Tree Partner Eco-Adventure Program” initiated by the World Green Organisation. On 19 May 2018, our volunteer network, together with over 300 volunteers from other companies, participated in the Tree Planting Day at Wan Tsai Peninsula West Campsite, Sai Kung. We successfully planted about 1,000 trees with an aim to help improve the air quality, promote biodiversity and mitigate the impact of climate change. On 1 December 2018, we also took part in the Shoreline Clean-up Operation. It was the sixth consecutive year for us to participate in this activity to help improve water quality and enhance aquatic biodiversity in Hong Kong. We worked together and collected over 160 kg of trash on the Rocky Bay Beach.

Apart from the above-mentioned activities, we also supported a wide range of community activities, such as charity runs and walks, flag selling and visits to the underprivileged. Looking forward, we will continue to seize every opportunity to contribute to our community and environment and to build a sustainable future.

Our little angels enjoyed volunteering with their parents to help those in need.

Over the years, a community-oriented mindset has been nurtured among our employees, who have also inspired their friends and families to give back to the society and share their kindness. On 9 February 2019, children of our employees took part in the “Valentine’s Rose Charity Sale 2019”. These little volunteers dressed up as “angels” to sell handmade roses packed to raise funds for St. James’ Settlement and support its poverty alleviation projects in Sham Shui Po.

Remarks:*8 Includes all permanent and contract staff. *9 “Local” employees are those whose employment terms and conditions meet the labor requirements of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region

(HKSAR) and Macao Special Administrative Region. *10 The calculation of accident rate per 1,000 workers is referenced to the definition of Labour Department of HKSAR. *11 From FY2014 report onwards, all relevant self-learning data are included. The drop of total training hours in FY2018 is due to the total headcount in

training delivery was reduced since the middle of FY2018.*12 The further drop in staff training cost in FY2018 is due to the shift the mode of learning from classroom to e-learning and the drop of total headcount in

training delivery since the middle of FY2018. *13 All new staff members joining Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) are required to complete the “Code of Conduct” learning three months after initially starting work.

In the case of current staff, regular reviews and/or training will be carried out and per review of scope and content annually.*14 The drop of Volunteering Hours in FY2018 is due to resources reallocation to other business priorities.*15 Includes end-of-life management costs only. The growth of the expenses is due to Thailand Government stopped importing e-waste in the Quarter 2 of

FY2018 and therefore all collected used multi-function printers (MFPs), printers and its consumables/parts are processed by a licensed local recycler since December 2018.

GRI 203: Indirect Economic Impacts 2016

203-2 Significant indirect economic impacts

With organizing investment programs, some of partners are indeed our customers and our business relationship has been deepened through working together. Take Caritas Hong Kong as an example, we have worked with them for several programs since 2009. In 2018, we had participated in the 2018 Caritas Charity Bazaar - Kowloon to raise funds for this NGO and provide helping hands for the underprivileged. Another example is supporting the Children’s Heart Foundation’s “Heart-to-Heart Charity Walk 2018”. We not only provided design and print sponsorship of promotion materials, but also organized a team of over 240 volunteers from Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) to join the charity walk.

Whereas for workforce engagement, we seek to cultivate a number of community-minded characteristics in our employees, including influencing their friends and families to give back to society, develop charitable hearts and learn to respect different cultures. We generally observed that the participated staff show higher employee satisfaction and more engagement with the company. The change can be easily spotted out among winners from Fuji Xerox (Hong Kong) Community Award. In addition, it is easier for our HR colleagues to recruit new talents from good CSR imaged organization.

On CSR Indicators, “Five-year Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) in Revenue” is not included in this report due to alignment with data disclosure guideline.
