Why relative positioning?

• Reduction/elimination of error sources– Broadcast satellite orbits and clocks

– But precise orbits and clocks are available

– Troposphere– Can be estimated together with position

• Reduce convergence time– Integer ambiguity resolution

– Not applied in HP due to lengthof baselines
