Definitely, Fuerteventura is a really piece of the paradise in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Since many years, The Canary Islands are one of the most favorite tourist location in Spain, both nationally and internationally, and there are lots of reasons for this trend.

This trend is something that we know very well and from inside at our Real State Lagun, the Real State of reference in Corralejo.

Although Corralejo, where we are based is the main tourist point in Fuerteventura, the island has other beautiful locations which are perfect for spending summer holidays and for purchasing a second house that you always has dreamed.

Pájara, Antigua, Puerto del Rosario, El Cotillo and La Oliva are, along Corralejo, some of the top towns of the island. They give the possibility of enjoying the nicest and complete stay that you could imagine, as they provide all necessary services, have a huge culture and cuisine offer, and their landscapes and beaches are as a story.

Sometimes, people forget the town of Pájara because, initially, it seems a bored and a bit awful place, but when you visit it and discover its charm, you realize that it’s an absolutely oasis of calm and beauty, the perfect location to set the holiday’s house.

For speaking about its origin, we have to be back to the late XV century when there was a Norman settlement just in here. Now, its 700 people are ready to give a warm welcome to everybody who come to this area.

Antigua is one of the oldest towns of the island. It Has a total surface of 250 km y around 3.000 people. It was the capital of Fuerteventura for a short period of time, and hosts the ‘Centro de Artesanía Molino de Antigua’, a place with a great Canarian touch where to enjoy craft shows.

In fact, in may and June the town perform the ‘Feria Insular de Artesanía’, where everybody can admire and acquire handmade products.

Puerto del Rosario is the capital of Fuerteventura. It’s located a few kilometers away from the airport of Matorral and it has a place in our list of the top towns to buy a second property for holidays in this part of Spain.

It has a very important shopping and leisure centre and Unamuno, the famous writer, lived in exile at this point.

El Cotillo is a fishing village and one of the quietest spots of Fuerteventura.

The castle ‘Rico Roque’ play a special role. Also it’s known as the fort of ‘Tostón’, built in 1743. It ‘s a sample of how important the castle was at that time for safeguarding everything from the pirate attacks.

This location has spectacular and unique beaches, surrounded by cliffs and clear waters.

La Oliva is another quiet Canarian village dedicated to agriculture and crafts.

When you put your foot in the town, quickly you will see its large square with the church in honor to the Virgen de la Candelaria.

It has a population of 10.000 neighbors and also was for a while the capital of Fuerteventura in the past.
