Turn-Key Fuel Facility Maintenance, Repair, Upgrade and ConstructionUST’s Fuel Service Division provides turn-key construction of military fueling facilities that include POL, hydrant system, aviation fueling, Hemitt fueling, CAB Hot Fuel and vehicle fueling. An example of our services are listed below:

• Modify and construct fuel hydrant systems• Modify and construct bulk fuel storage and handling systems• Design-build services for aviation and ground fueling facilities• Fuel polishing, flushing and fuel quality testing• Tank cleaning• Inspect fuel receiving, storage, and distribution facilities

to detect and correct: leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, malfunction of mechanical units, meters, gauges, float gauges, piping valves, pumps and roof sumps

• Overhaul system components such as automatic hydraulically Controlled Pressure Regulating Valves and Excess Valves.

• Disassemble, adjust, align, and calibrate gauges and meters. • Remove and install equipment such as filters and piping to

modify system or repair and replace system components• Inspect electrical wiring, switches, and controls for safe-

operating condition, grounding and adjustment • Lubricate pumps and valves, replace gaskets/seals and

correct pumping equipment misalignment• Clean Repair, and Inspect: aboveground/underground fuel

storage tanks and distribution piping in accordance with API and STI codes/standards

• Install and replace internal floating roofs, seals, hangers, and vacuum and pressure vents

Full Service InspectionsUST’s engineering team is licensed in many states and experienced in providing tank and facility inspections that includes API 653, STI (SP 001), API 570, State Environmental Compliance and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC).

Design Build + 3D Laser Scans UST’s Federal Design Division provides A/E services for an array of structural, civil and POL/fuel projects with design-build or design-bid-build delivery methods. We are adept at the planning and execution of projects, utilizing our team’s vast experience with Federal criteria requirements that results in a successful design within strict deadlines. We utilize 3D Laser Scanning or High Definition Laser Scanning (HDLS) to capture 3 dimensional data with millimeter accuracy. HDLS creates a precise 3D digital record of the existing MEP, structural or topographical features, without the need to physically touch what is being measured.

Full 3D CAD modeling or Building Information Modeling (BIM) can be derived from the 3D scans that can be used for design, planning, historical documentation, troubleshooting and threat assessments. In addition to the design and planning documentation, HDLS can be used during the routine API 653 tank inspections and API 570 piping inspections to look for various deficiencies. In the case of API653 inspections, HDLS data can generate various maps and reports showing tank roundness, internal floating roof condition, foundation settlement, dike volumes and much more. With 3D HDLS API570 inspection, HDLS data can be used to document corrosion, pressure pipe deformation, and accident damage or can be used to document piping conditions over a period of time.
