FT1A-M3-710TRANSCRIPT
NEW with the FT1A Mk IIINew DSP element allows 'flash' programming to maintain control upgrades.Crestron compatible remote control systemExtremely low noise to maintain absolute sonic purityDelivers absolute sonic accuracy in reproducing what is transmitted.
Continuing the tradition of its predecessor, and designed to the same exactingstandards, the FT-1A MkIII is now the only North American- designed andbuilt, FM tuner/monitor on the market today that meets the quality, featuresand performance requirements as expressed by the FM audiophile, and the FMbroadcast industry.
hrough the convenience of its standard, , full-function, IR remote control andprogram-mable presets, and, being , the FT-1A providesall the functionality necessary for integration into any multi-channel, homeentertainment system.
Differing only its architecture and its updated control system, the FT-1A hasalready become one of the most relied upon, analog tuner designs of the day.Not only is it one of the quietest and most sensitive tuners in the world, theFT-1A is amongst the most current in terms of combining the fidelity of analogwithstate-of-art DSP control. While other, less sophisticated analog tunerdesigns require you to manually manipulate their functions, all of the FT-1A'sfunctions are automatic, or push-button-selectable from either the front panel;from the remote control, or via computer RS-232 serial data I/O. What's more, tuning with the FT1A is always dead accurate from startup, therebyeliminating the necessity for warmup time, a not-uncommon trait of otheranalog designs.
Tuning is accomplished in the FT-1A by two methods. You can either tune up ordown quickly with the 'tune' button, or you can scan up or down for 'listenable'stations using the 'scan' buttons. This is preferred by the majority because it istuned easily and does not require the listener to attend the tuner and physicallymanipulate a tuning knob. Presets are programmed from the tuner's frontpanel, or from the remote controller, by simply tuning to the desired station, setting the receive and IF band modes, and pressing the desired preset until theSET light flashes.
The FT-1A's analog tuning accuracy is established and maintained by a veryprecise, phase locked loop (PLL) system .... an integral part of the FT-1A'scontrol system. Flash-upgradable firmware provides operational control of thetuner's functions. We feel this system is functionally superior to systemsrequiring use of a meter. While such models are aesthetically pleasing, theyalways have a margin of error. This can easily translate into reduced stereoseparation, which leaves the listeners totally reliant on their ears for best stereoseparation. In contrast, the FT-1A tunes dead-on station every time, and stayson station, providing maximum stereo separation all the time.
Even though the design technology developed in the FT1A Mk I would likelystill outperform most north american analog tuners available today, the Mk IIIdoes that and a great deal more. In 2002, Fanfare introduced the FT1AP to thebroadcast market as a remote/translator receiver. In this role, the FT1AP iscalled upon to run 24x7 without fail in many different climates. In fact, if youlisten to any station through its translator, there is a good chance you might belistening through the Pro version of the Fanfare FT1A . . . the FT1AP.
In terms of performance, the FT-1A is the ultimate combination of highsensitivity, selectivity and CD-like audio clarity and accuracy. Able to lift fragilesignals from the mire of today's FM congestion, those FM audiophiles whochoose the FT-1A will delight in discovering the increased selection of FMstations they are able to receive. This coupled with the FT-1A's excellentselectivity balanced with remarkable sensitivity, the FT1A is able to derive asignal that emulates with great accuracy of fidelit, that of the source.
T"Crestron" compatible
There are a number of pro model Fanfare receivers installed in mountain toptranslator shacks, and in the penthouse equipment rooms of tall buildings allover the US and Canada. More and more radio stations are discovering theperformance capability and reliability of the Fanfare receiver. And with thatdiscovery, those that have installed a Fanfare receiver are hearing theiraudiences are commenting on the improvement in sound and the more reliablestrength of signal to which they are now being treated.
FT1AP Mk3 FM Monitor Receiver
Note: The FT-1AP meets or exceeds the standards as established by CSA, UL and complies with European CE requirements. All boards are directly replaceable and do not require in-service alignment.
Whether in the studio rack or on remote, the FT1AP-M renders all FM signals withgreat accuracy and reliability.

'Upgradeable' software-controlled microprocessor monitors all functions
All functions are monitored and controlled by a central processor. All updates to bandwidth, tuning, memory selectivityand function are now flash installed.
Optional RS-232 Serial data input/output (option) - allows remote control of all functions, including front panel, carriersense & direct frequency entry. Software in the form of a GUI interface is provided.
Balanced (0dB / 600ohms - +6dB) audio outputs
Adjustable Composite Output remains 'hot' at all times.
Optional amplified headphone jack(HPJ). Provides a gain-adjustable stereo output at 30dB through a 1/4" phone jackinto 8ohm headphones.
Control buttons are flush mounted(can be recessed as well) to guard against accidental activation.
The control panel can be adjusted internally to recess or project button in the faceplate.
Fully modular contruction for servicing in the field. Boards may be replaced in the field with need for re-alignment.
Black, anodized(2-RS) EIA rack mt. panel with high visibility, blue, VTF display.
Fully enclosed metal chassis for maximum rf shielding and durability. Chassis and cover are precision made of 16ga.CRsteel to maintain maximum shielding. Both are finished in high quality, powdercoat finish for maximum durability.
Noise reduction circuitry maintains ambient noise levels below usual minimums.
Noise floor for the FT-1AP is typically 75dBdown or more
120 / 220 / 240VAC input voltages and FM deemphasis may be changed in the field.
