Longleaf Student Volunteers @ Marbles 12 Longleaf students volunteered at Marbles last week. They were extremely helpful and always willing to do whatever was needed. Marbles was very happy to have them and they are welcome back anytime. Both Jason Nouanounou and Mache Wood were ‘scooped’ by their program leads for going above and beyond of what is expected from volunteers. Also ‘scooped’ were Iyanna Williams and Savannah Dhillon for their continued support of Marbles’ Ready Set School Program every Thursday. A scoop is Marble’s internal recognition program. Whoever gets scooped in a month is in a running to be volunteer of the month. WTG LSA!

Moving help Thank you to all the generous volunteers who came out on Spring Break to move a science lab to the school!

Mural at First Presbyterian Thank you LSA Art Club for the beautiful work at First Presbyterian! Great job at making community connections and leaving your artistic imprint in many people’s lives!

These elite high school students are recipients of extremely competitive scholarships from the U.S. Department of State and come from a diverse array of countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Africa. As participants of the FLEX and YES programs, incoming students will come with: Personal monthly stipend Health insurance Support from an American Councils Local Coordinator

LSA Choral Boosters are up and running. Our kids are part of a great choral program at a great school. If you have a love of the arts, please consider being added to a Choral Boosters distribution list where you can receive information about what the kids are up to as well as learning about opportunities to share your skills or resources don't worry it is perfectly OK to just be on the distribution list and nothing more! [email protected] . You do not have to be a parent to participate in this group; all are welcome, just email us at the above address. It’s that time of year when many parents are looking to sign up their child for a driver’s ed course. This can be a bit confusing. We hope to help make this easy for you. Best thing to start is to refer to the Driver's Education page on our website. Longleaf School of the Arts will NOT be hosting a class this Summer. Longleaf is communicating with JDS for future course possibilities. All students who either live or attend school in Wake County may take driver’s ed through JDS’s program.

Then visit the Jordan Driving School website to pursue registering your child for a course. This link will take you to the JDS Fee & Class Schedule page. From there click on the Summer Classes link. All registration and payments for courses will be handled through Jordan Driving School. JDS has priority registration going on now through April 24 . This means if you register by April 24 you will most likely get into one of your first choices of class, and students are assigned to class based on age. After April 24, students may continue to register and will be assigned to class on a first come, first served basis.
