CovenantThe priceThe outcomeThis covenant is unlike any other covenantThe cost is very lob-sidedJesus pays the priceThe outcome is also one sidedWe receive the benefit of forgiveness29 I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Fathers kingdom. PledgeThis is not the endWe will be unitedHere is my promiseThe fruit of the vineThe blood of ChristWill carry us into heaven30 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.They sungThey went out Singing in the Christian context is about worshipBut communal worship has to come to an endAnd we must go back to lifeInteract with the worldLiving our lives in the worldWe receive communion with an understanding thatWe will celebrate communion together in heavenChrist will serve usWe will worship Christ face to faceThe invitation to the tableBeing part of Gods familyForgivenessAll made possible through the blood of ChristHe is the fruit of the vine</p>
