Scope of Works of Persian Gulf alumina refinery plant1. Introduction

Persian Gulf Alumina Refinery Plant owned by Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) will be located in PARSIAN Energy intensive Industries Special Zone (PSZ) at HormozganProvince, 30 km east of Assaluyeh Airport, and 1.5 km from Jetty Facilities at Persian Gulf.

State-owned Iranian Mines and Mining Industries intention is to construct an Alumina Refinery Plant in the PARSIAN Zone in order to produce Alumina for feeding Aluminium Plants in the country.

2. Production Capacity

The overall capacity of Persian Gulf Alumina Refinery Plant is 1.6 metric million tons per year Alumina. The Bauxite feed for the plant will be imported.

3. Refinery Plant Description

The Persian Gulf Alumina Refinery Plant will include but not limited the following sections.

´ Process Units: considering all required process units and the area required for future expansion of process units and equipment.

´ Utility Units: considering all required utility units and the area required for future expansion of Utility Units and equipment.

´ Semi-industrial and non-industrial buildings

´ Site Common Facilities and misc. services

Petroleum Coke production plant Establishment Project

Project Description´ Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO)

has the project to construct a grassroots anode grade coke production unit at ArvandFree Zone,Khoramshahr,Khoozestan Province,Iran.

´ This project is defined in order to meet the needs of Aluminum, Steel and other ferroalloy industries in the country.

´ The plant will target a 200 Kt/y anode grade production considering 27000 BPD of feed constituted by 75% of Vaccum residue (VR) and 25% of Clarified slurry oil (CSO).

Project Location

Petroleum Coke in Aluminum industries :According to coke consumption in Aluminum industry production, Calcined petroleum coke consumption is equal to 450 kg per tone for Aluminum, currently needed consumption rate in the country is estimated around 202 thousand ton which is provided from china.in accordance with country’s industrial development vision for 2025, with production of 1.5 million ton Aluminum, this consumption rate will reach to approximately 675 thousand calcined coke. In this regard Establishment of Petroleum coke production plant is one of the Aluminum Industry's priorities.

from IMIDRO.• Receiving Environmental License.• Receiving feed allocation license from Oil

Ministry.• conducting B.F.S By Axens.• Selecting a contractor for wall operation for
