Front cover analysis This is the front cover of record collector. The target audience of this magazine would be slightly older people who listen to classic rock and roll. The masthead is in big white font. The font is not very fancy but stands out from the rest of the cover. The skyline follows the same principles as the masthead with it being quite pain however still getting the message across about what to expect from the magazine. The lead image is of the iconic jimmy Hendrix. If you listen to this sort of music, immediately you are drawn this image. The image is of the artist in cloths you would expect him to wear but it is quite bold. In front of the lead of the lead is the name of the artist and the statement the electric gypsy’s last year this attracts the reader by enticing them to read about this iconic artists final year. The left third of the page is again not very bold. This may be because the author doesn’t want to steal the spotlight from the important main article. Overall this magazine would be very appealing to its target audience. It is not bight and flashy
