Monday 28th August 2017 Term 3 Week 7
Welcome to week 7.
Thank you to those parents/
grandparents etc who assisted the students with their Book Week costumes- we are regularly promoting the joy of books and the value of reading and the parade was a great way to celebrate Book Week.
Our new garden area is nearly
completed- a huge thank you to Mr Neil Pokoney for managing the project, the students who assisted him, the staff and families who donated hay, pallets and manure and a VERY big thank you to AgNVet for their donations towards the construction.
When you are next at the school you are welcome to visit the vegetable garden area - it will soon become a very valuable outside learning area for our students.
Enjoy your week.

All of our students celebrated reading
last week with plenty of fun activities.
Everyone visited the town library to
enjoy the Book Week activities organised
by Cathy as well as to see the fantastic
competition entries.
We had great fun on the Wednesday
dressing as some of our favourite book
characters and shared some special
stories with our buddies.
Many children were racing the clock
trying to finish off the 20 books
required for the Reading Challenge
(which finished on Friday) and, of
course, all of our students were reading
every day as part of their normal school
routine. Happy reading, everyone!

PSSA GIRLS TOUCH TEAM
Our PSSA Girls Touch Team have done our school proud this year. They played three tough games and played their way through to the fourth round of the
knockout. Along the way the girls played Wyalong Public School, Canowindra Public School and
Mulyan Public School. I am very proud of these girls, their sportsmanship, willingness to train hard and try new
things.
Congratulations on your efforts. Mrs Hopper
