The 9th WKC European Championships was successfully held in Cheboksary, the capital of the Chu-vash Republic, Russia on13th – 15th June 2014. The Karate Federation of Russia WKC (KFR) with its President Dr. Viacheslav Timofeev organized the tournament with the full support of the Chuvashian government and the city of Cheboksary. I would like to thank Dr. Timofeev and his helpful and friendly team for the excellent organization of the above mentioned championships!We felt more than welcome in the wonderful city of Cheboksary at the shores of the legendary Volga River. Our thanks go also to the City of Cheboksary and the Chuvash Republic for their grand support of this event.

Special gratitude goes to the lovely ladies of the organizing tem - Ms. Churilova, Ms. Dolinskaya, and Ms. Morkovkina as well as to the Deputy Minister for Sport of the Chuvash Republic Mr. S. Sheltukov and the Deputy Mayor of Cheboksary Mr. M. Semenov.Our Junior & Cadet World Championships in Buenos Aires in October 2014 will open a new chapter in the WKC history. We will have many competitors from South America for the first time. The President of the hosting federation Union Argentina de Karate (UAK), Mr. Nestor Parreño, is working hard with his team to make this event a great success by contacting many South American countries and federations as possible.We look forward to seeing you, your competitors and officials at our forthcoming events!Sincerely Yours,
