What do we traditionally grow in our area?

The Xarxa Productes de la Terra is a voluntary group of local entities and particulars promoted and coordinated by the Barcelona Provincial Council, in order to strengthen the growth and use of local alimentary products of the land and the sea of Barcelona province.

Vallès Occidental

Distinguished with regard to food quality brands, theVallès Occidental has the beans with PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and the Beef from Sabadell, with Mark Q. As for types of production, there are a total of 43 producers local estates that have the label (Catalan Council organic farming), and the Bread of Saint Julianwith PI (Integrated Production).

Cabbage paperina

The form is oval.The leaves have a pointed ending.Its color is green and yellow.It has an intense flavor but also soft and sweet. It has seven or eight leaves and we eat them boiled.

This variety of unknown origin is grown in the Agricultural Park in Sabadell.

Its production is characteristic for the use of organic fertilizer (manure), and is a dry product collected in early July.

Their flavor is more intense, which differentiates it from other varieties of chickpeas.

Menut chickpeas

Dry beans del Ganxet

Dry beans with flattened form and a hook (ganxet) at one end that is characteristic and hence its name.

White and medium sized they have a creamy texture and are easily digested.

The milk comes from a herd of local goats, a very special race, valued for the high quality of their milk.

Mistela wineMistelle is sometimes used as an ingredient in fortified wines, particularly Vermouth, Marsala and Sherry, though it is used mainly as a base for apéritifs. It is produced by adding alcohol to non-fermented or partially fermentes grape juice. The addition of alcohol stops the fermentation and, as a consequence Mistelle is sweeter than fully fermented grape juice in which the sugars turn to alcohol.

WINE ranci d’Ullastell

This wine is a dry traditional liquor.Aged in oak barrels for at least 2 yearsit has an aftertaste of toasted almonds, old wood, and leather.It has fruity aromas and a goldish color.The type of grape used issumoll variety.
