Once a King organized a competition of drawing- artists. The competitors were to bring a picture of the king. King personally was to give judgment about which picture is the best. First competitor showed the f rame holding the picture of the king. "Well, it is a good picture, but my eyes look better than those appearing in the picture", the king turned to next competitor. "This picture is excellent, but my nose is more beautiful than what it looks like in this picture". Like this the king went on rejecting the artists, nobody seemed to be worth for selection as a winner. Finally one artist came forward. The king looked at the picture. "Very good", the king remarked, "but my face is more handsome than this". "It can't be, Your Excellency", replied the artist, "It is not a picture, you are holding the mirror, My Lord, in your hands". The king, appeared embarrassed a bit, but then was very happy to know the wisdom of the artist and felicitated him as a winner!Moral of the story: You cannot be better than what you are, unless you really improve.

The new generation of control system, developed by Amtech Electronics (India) Ltd, integrates the operation of Redundant VFD for critical applications.This solution is used for critical applications where a single stoppage of VFD is not allowed as it results in huge loss of production and/or stoppage like in Power plant, Boiler, Spinning pump etc. Amtech has designed and successfully installed Redundant VFD solution in many critical applications with complete engineered system. Solution takes only motor connection and speed reference from the field and rest all are factory programmed. This gives plug and play installation.
At times, your process needs bump-less transfer in no time without any major change in speed. Our system solutions equipped with state-of-the-art technology monitors the health of the VFD all the time and in an abnormal situation, transfers the control to the hot standby VFD in no time. The transfer will be so smooth at times, that even your control room will not be able to diagnose the transfer.

TECHNO-TALKReduced Utility Bills:Power factor correction removes power factor penalties on your electricity bill.Electricity tariffs for industrial and commercial customers have energy and demand rates. Some of these tariffs are structured to increase the cost of electricity if your power factor does not meet a minimum threshold (often 90%). Regardless of how your utility bills you for power, power factor correction can save you money.Increased System Capacity:Power factor correction frees up capacity on your supply transformer. Improvement in Power Factor allows you to add additional load to your system without altering the kVA.Improved Voltage Conditions:Low voltage, resulting from excessive draw, causes motors to be sluggish and overheated. As power factor decreases, total line current increases, causing further voltage drop.By adding capacitors to your system and improving power factor, you will improve voltage and therefore get more efficient motor performance and longer motor life.Reduced Transmission Losses:Losses caused by poor power factor are due to reactive current flowing in the system.
