The Right of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) classes
will begin in September. If you or someone you know is
interested in becoming Catholic, learning more about the
Catholic Church or receiving the sacraments as an adult, then please join

Journey of Faith for Adults – Liguori Publications
Starting in September, Saint Mary Parish will be
offering a new Adult Education Class. It is available to
everyone that wants to reacquaint themselves to and
deepen the faith we all profess. The program uses handouts, discussion questions, private
journaling, and Scripture-based activities to appeal to a variety of learners of all ages and
backgrounds. Journey of Faith discusses the core concepts of Catholic belief and practice in
straightforward language using real-life examples. This class will be led by Father Martin
Gillespie. Class cost per person $15.00
A sign-up sheet is in the narthex. Please note the day and time that you would prefer (you
may check both if either would work for you). Both classes (Wed 9 AM, Thurs 6:30 PM) will
be offered.
Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

Diaconate Formation Class
Men, could God be calling you to the diaconate? If so, the
Biloxi Diocese plans to begin a new Formation Class for the
diaconate in 2021.
Pre-selection information sessions will be conducted from 8:30-noon on
the following days: Sept 19th at St. Clare, Waveland; Sept 26th at Sacred Heart, Hattiesburg;
and Oct 3rd at St. Mary, Gautier. For interested men who think you may have a calling,
attendance at one of these sessions is mandatory with your wife. Please see your pastor, or

New Wine—Lay Ministry Formation Program
scheduled to begin in September 2020.
This ministry formation program is for people who want a
basic foundation in theology and pastoral skills or who seek to be leaders
in ministry. New Wine is a 3 year lay ministry formation program
developed in 1985. It consists of 94 regular weekly sessions lasting two
hours each. Meeting place and time to be determined.
