Gone are the days when people used to depend solely on libraries and books to gain knowledge. The means of procuring knowledge and accessing information has undergone a sea change with the advent of computers, internet and smart phones. The internet is the biggest library ever created in human history and seemingly presents itself as an unlimited and ever growing store of knowledge and information. So when my team approached me with the idea of a current affairs magazine of ARIFIN the first question I asked myself was why? What difference can we make? There are the news papers, a plethora of similar national level magazines and of course the internet which serve the purpose already. The reason I gave my nod was simple. (1) With so much of information around, there is the problem of overload; I believe there is still a gap to be bridged when it comes to providing precise, succinct and relevant information. (2) It need not be a mere current affairs magazine but rather it can be a holistic support system for competitive Exam preparation with question banks, tips and tricks , concepts and practice exercises, general awareness, traditional GK and more such similar features. Hence, the result is this magazine whose editorial team is a blend of youth, energy, knowledge and experience. As explained earlier, I promise my readers two things: (1) This is not going to be just another magazine. This will be a magazine with a difference. Power of ConcentrationWhile Swami Vivekananda was in America, whilepassing through a bridge, he saw that some boysfrom the bridge were trying to shoot egg shells thatwere floating in the water below but they missedevery time they shoot.Swami ji were watching all that from a distance. After watching this for sometime, he went close tothem and took asked boys for gun. Boys hesitatedbut then gave gun to Swami ji

Swami ji fired twelve times and every time he fired,he hit egg shells. Boys were surprised to see that amonk was able to shoot gun with such precision.Inquisitive boys were surprised to see this andasked, “How were you able to do this?”

Swami ji replied, “Whatever you are doing, put yourwhole mind to it. If you are shooting then your mindshould be only on the target only then you will beable to do this. Once you learn to focus your mindon target then you will never miss it.”

Moral:We should Learn to Focus our Mind and then we
