A popular Unity phrase that rings true to all who contemplate the message. We live in a hurried world, seemingly shaped by the tell-a-vision programming suggesting people see things a certain way. It seems to mirror the reality we are experiencing in the cultures we are growing up in. Many of these influences may cause stress if we fail to see them clearly. If we see life as happening to us it can lead into fear or anxiety, it is disempowering. Springing into 20/20 with clearer vision WE are able to shift our perspective and recognize the growth opportunity from all experiences. Life happens for us when we shift our vision. As many are aware, we have been without a full-time minister for about two years now and here we are... We have experienced a diversity of enlightened teachers, each coming from their own spiritual paths bringing awareness to things that we perhaps didn't even know that we didn't know until we knew it, you know? Yes, you may want to read that line again, nope you're probably good now. ;) Some of you are aware that I teach Yoga as one of my primary hobbies. Yoga comes from the Sanskrit yuj, representing union like a yoke or concentrate...the practice of Yo'ke creates unity of the body/mind/ soul trinity, it promotes balancing the mind and body, pushing past previously held boundaries/illusions while growing in strength, flexibility with ability to control the inner chi/energy fueling your biological super computer we call the body/mind. Yoga aligns us with nature, how it grows and thrives without doctors. Nature thrives on diversity, it would be a boring place if nature had only one type of plant, rock, and animal. Thanks to our speaker search team We can all look forward to many great teachers bringing their messages to Unity each Sunday at 10:30am. We share in community and expand our family. Thank you for the trust you place in the board and the special committees that represent your intentions and spiritual growth, it is a response-ability we do not take lightly. Many hands make light work and WE hold the attitude of gratitude to everyone for doing what they can to support the programs and infrastructure of Unity. Tithings and other donations like your time are the backbone to our community. WE have contributing members who are not able to attend service regularly but still participate in their own way. WE couldn't do it without YOU. YOU are important and WE LOVE YOU and WE APPRECIATE YOU just the way YOU are. Our annual Metaphysical & Wellness Event is coming up March 14th 2020 from 10-4. I have experienced two of these events and will surely be attending this one as well. LOTS of great speakers and vendors. Consider sharing events with your friends you think might be interested or dropping off a printed flyer on bulletin boards. Events like this are a great way to introduce Unity to our community helping it grow through awareness. I have been attending Unity Spiritual Life Center of Yakima for nearly 4 years now appreciating the friendships and wisdom being shared with me here. I love the diverse backgrounds that we attract and that everyone is a unique expression of consciousness. Let us March into Spring of 2020 breaking the illusions of our culture's suggestions of separation so that we may find Peace and Wellness for Everyone Everywhere. Namaste, Rob Leaming A world powerfully transformed through the growing movement of a shared spiritual awakening. We empower individuals to collectively transform the world. MARCH-ING INTO CLEARER VISION 2020

What we think about, we bring about. March 1 Unity Works Guest Speaker: Randie Gottlieb

We live in troubled times. It seems like we’re becoming more fragmented and polarized by the day. At the same time, we've never had more potential for unity. Join us for some inspiring stories from UnityWorks,

a nonprofit educational organization headquartered in Yakima, that is dedicated to reducing prejudice and to promoting cross-racial and cross-cultural understanding, equity and inclusion,

with a focus on K-12 schools.

March 8 A Spiritual Vacation to India Guest Speaker: Nomita Mehta Upon recently returning from a 7 week India trip, I will share my take a ways after reflecting back on the

trip. With personal anecdotes and pictures, I hope to have you get a taste of India from its culture, history, people, holy sites and my involvement in a Jain mission!

March 15 Opening a Compassionate Heart Guest Speaker: Marilyn Freed

When we consciously open to love, we may feel uncomfortable. And at the same time renewed and restored. This is the power of living through conscious acts of love.

March 22 Personality in Service to Others

Guest Speaker: Rev. Libby O’Day The theme for March is Emerging from the Darkness, which is so perfect for a spring topic! So on Sunday

the 22nd of March, I am going to talk about the trials and tribulations of the Lightbearer: or “Waking Up is Hard to Do.” Sound negative? Indeed, it can often be just that – filled with

uncomfortable, growth filled experiences that require us to develop new skills like setting boundaries, forgiveness, self inquiry, making amends and radical acceptance. Or as the great psychologist Carl Jung

put it: “There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own Soul. One does not become enlightened by imaging figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” To assist us in staying the course and evolving into our best life, we have many great souls who have gone before us. They encourage, advise and sometimes even map out

the journey for us.

March 29 TBA

10:30 am

Right after service

Bring a dish to share and hear about the updates from the Board

and the Search Committee.

Moved to late Full

A Night of Lights

a time for our spiritual community to gather together to honor those in our community who have made their transition.

MEN’S ROOM UPDATE!

Almost all the surveys are in, just waiting on one more. We did find out that we cannot put a second

commode in because of the way the urinal is piped in. However, we will be fixing up that stall and putting a

door on the other one. That, with a fresh coat of paint, new sink (with hot water) and cabinet, mirrors, a

table, a new garbage can and a different storage place for the ladders!

We are still accepting donations for this project, just memo them “Men’s Room”.

Any excess funding of this project will used for other similar projects.
