Interschool Athletics Carnival I would like to congratulate our interschool team and emphasise how well they performed at the Interschool Athletics carnival last week. The competition was of a high standard and to finish 2

nd position in the outright shield is a fine

achievement for the second year in a row. Students performed to the best of their abilities and many won a medal with their superb individual performances. Students demonstrated our school motto of endeavour, achievement, sustainability and thoughtfulness. Their commitment, comradery and spirit were evident on the carnival day.

T20 Cricket Carnival The T20 cricket carnival is on Thursday 9 November at Clayton Road oval. Teams of Years 4—6 girls and boys will be selected and information will be sent home this Thursday with students. Please return forms to class teachers by Tuesday 7 November with the bus fare. Cold canteen lunches are available to order. Please label your child’s lunch order clearly with CRICKET CARNIVAL.

In preparation for the carnival our new Regional Wheatbelt Cricket Manager Melinda Lucas will be here this Tuesday and next Tuesday to conduct skill sessions with our students.

Thank you Many thanks to all who made the recent Term 4 discos a success. Special thanks to the school staff and parents who volunteered their time. We couldn’t have done it without you! A big thank you to all the students who attended, your awesome behavior and sense of fun made it a great night.

We are pleased to say we raised $836.00 on the night toward the data projector fund. This now brings the P&C contribution to date to $1,500.00! Thanks everyone for your ongoing support.

Developing Volunteer Management Plans Free Workshop

When: Wednesday 8 November 2017, 12.30pm – 3.00pm Where: Narrogin Town Hall - Mayor’s Parlour 82 Federal St, Narrogin

This workshop will look to: Help understand some of the motivations of modern

volunteers and where to find them. Look at your club/organisation and identify what systems

and processes you have in place for volunteer management. If you don’t have any, don't worry we will help you with lots of free resources.

Help you to identify an appropriate approach for your organisation in managing volunteers so that you can keep them.

Enrol your children now in VacSwim swimming lessons during the summer school holidays.

With swimming pools and beaches a part of the Western Australian lifestyle, ensuring your children learn how to swim and are safe in the water is a must for all families.

Your children can join in the fun of learning to swim in lessons run at pools and open water venues across the State. VacSwim is for all children – from beginners through to advanced survival, rescue and resuscitation.

Your children can learn to swim for just: $7.00 per child for a five day short program. $13.00 per child for all other programs.

It's even cheaper if you have three or more children: $18.00 a family for a five day short program. $35.00 a family for all other programs.
