2021-2022 Registration

All Kingdom Kids families should have received an email on Dec 4th. If you did not and are interested in registering your student for the 2021-2022 school year, please click here: https://cccrochester.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/263/responses/new Fill out the form in it’s entirety and pay the $65.00 registration fee (one fee per household, not per student). The Kingdom Kids office will be closed over Christmas break, so all registrations received during that time will be confirmed after we return on January 4th. As part of OUR family you are getting to enroll FIRST. The general public enrollment will open Friday, January 8, 2020. At that point a link will be available on our Kingdom Kids website. Let your friends know! We look forward to you being a part of our 2021-2022 Kingdom Kids Family!!

Winter Gear Tips

We are hopeful that there will be snow on the ground by the time we return to school in January. With that in mind, please:

• Send a winter coat, hat, gloves/mittens, snow pants, and snow boots for your 3 and 4 year old students (2 year olds have inside recess when there is snow on the ground).

• Send snow gear in a separate bag to keep papers dry (reusable shopping bags work great!)

• Send only items that have been labeled with your child’s name (gloves look very similar to one another and are hard to tell apart!).

Children must be specified age by September 1st Monthly tuition rates are listed below.

Really Outstanding Days of E xploration & Observation

Kindergarten Enrollment 2021-2022 Kindergarten enrollment will soon be open at many of our area schools. In addition to Roches-ter Public Schools and other public districts in the area, there are several fine private schools. To find out more about these schools’ programs and enrollments, please visit their websites.

Schaeffer Academy (2700 Schaeffer Ln NE): Schaeffer Academy teaches students that all of life

and learning are parts of an inte-grated whole with Christ and His Word at the center; that truth

is objective, knowable and absolute; to develop critical, logical thinking; and to value what is permanently true, beautiful, and good rather than what is merely fashionable or politically correct at this moment in history. Find out more about their teaching approach and application on their website. Registration opens in the spring!

Rochester Central Lutheran (2619 9th Ave NW): RCLS educates the whole child, with a particular emphasis on shaping an individualized education that allows K-8 students to build a foundation of Grace, Faith, and Learning for Life. Kindergarten classes for 2021-22 are already filling. Students admitted early (Dec 1-Jan 14) will be invited to complete enrollment on Janu-ary 15. Open enrollment begins on February 1 as space allows.

Medication at School: Lip Balm & Lotion

As we move into colder, drier weather, please be aware that our childcare license considers lotion and lip balm to be medications (whether they have a stated medicated component or not) and that we therefore keep all lotions and lip balms in our office with proper medication forms. If you would like your student to have lotion or lip balm at school, please be sure it is not kept in their backpack but turned into a teacher (along with the medication form). We will store it in a labeled bag in our medicine cabinet and your student may request to use it at any time. Please contact Jessica Laffoon to have a medication form sent to you.

2020 Christmas Programs

We hope you’ve enjoyed the Christmas Programs this year. The links for the live streams will continue to be available as recordings so that you can enjoy your students’ performances again and again (those classes who did not have a Christmas program intend to have a spring concert, and we look forward to it as well!) The students’ Christmas performance was so fun. It is always a joy to watch and listen to them sing praise to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We hope you each have a blessed and

Merry Christmas!

Camp Kingdom Kids

Making plans for your pre-school or school-age child’s summer? Check out Camp Kingdom Kids, our 10-week day camp for children 3 years old to those finishing 6th grade.

6:30am – 5:30pm Registration opens January 29th for families attending full-time throughout the summer. Registration fee is $50 for the first child ($10 for each addition-al child); this includes a camp t-shirt and sunscreen. Weekly rate includes breakfast, morning & afternoon snack, and all field trip costs.

School Closings

All weather announcements will be on KTTC TV (channel 12), KAAL TV (channel 6) and our website (kkrochester.org) & social media. Please do not call the school. If there is a delayed start, morning classes will be canceled and school will begin with 11:30am lunch buddies. If there is a full day cancelation, all classes will be canceled for the day.

Healthy Lunches

As a licensed

childcare

center,

Kingdom

Kids strives

to ensure

that all chil-

dren receive

a healthy

lunch that meets the USDA require-

ments. Lunches must contain servings

of all five food groups:

• Meat/Protein

• Grain

• Dairy/Substitute (liquid milk is

served to students during lunch)

• Vegetable

• Fruit (a second vegetable may be

substituted for the fruit)

Winter Recess Guidelines

We try to go outside every day. During the colder months, we follow the following wind chill standards to determine if recess will be outside on the playground:

• 2s - 30° (no snow on the ground)

• 3s & 4s Half Day Classes - 15°

• 3s & 4s Full Day Classes - 0° (lunch recess only)
