Edward Bais – Ed is based in San Francisco, CA and is heavily involved with

operations as well as fulfilling the West Coast Marketing Manager position. Ed’s

industry career began in 1993 and has held branch manager roles with various

competitors over the years before joining AmSpec in 2014.

Ed has a wife, Lisa and their family consists of four children Ethan, Ella, Liam and

Elliott. Ed’s favorite sports teams are the Warriors, 49ers, Oakland A’s and

Sharks….go figure all local teams!

His favorite quote is, “Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only

way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way

to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it, keep looking.

Sam Smedley – Sam is the Customer Relations Representative based in New Orleans

with 38 years of industry experience. He has one daughter Erica and two sons,

Justin and Benjamin along with a seven year old granddaughter, Love.

Sam is the outdoorsman of the marketing department who primarily loves to fish

and hunt. He also has a passion for baseball in general and LSU football.

When he is not hunting deer or fishing, Sam’s free time is spent reading about the

Civil War and WWII as he enjoys history. His favorite quote is “Never put off what

you can do today,” as he says he had to write that 500 times in 6th grade! Loves to

travel and hopes to visit Alaska one day…be careful what you wish for Sam, we have

an AmSpec branch up there!

John Vitale – John, like Sam Smedley, is also an avid outdoorsman who primarily

enjoys fishing and boating.

Based in Florida and proud to be part of the AmSpec foundation in 1986, John has

held various operation and marketing positions prior to rejoining AmSpec 15 years

ago.

Married to Rose, John is a father of two, Cassandra and John and also has two

grandchildren.

When he is not casting off in the hunt for his next sushi meal, John can be found

reading ‘The Stand’ –Stephen King or listening to his favorite Pink Floyd tunes,

golfing or watching Jaws!

Christian Cooper – When Christian isn’t marketing in his Gulf Coast Manager role,

you can probably find him on the links golfing or coaching his son Parker in various

sports and spending time with his daughter, Blake.

Based in Houston Technical Center, Christian has nine years industry experience,

mostly with AmSpec.

He enjoys running, watching any movie that stars “the Rock and Kevin Hart” and

cheering on “HIS” Dallas Cowboys or the Texas A&M Aggies!

Tammy Reese Schoenster – Tammy joined AmSpec two years ago after 31 years of

holding various positions in the industry including business development positions

with Camin and Intertek.

Based in Houston Technical Center, she has one daughter, Lily, who Tammy says, “is

the love of my life.”

Tammy’s enjoys watching movies such as “It’s a Wonderful Life”, any Star Wars or

James Bond flicks. Her favorite actors and actresses include Carey Grant, Sean

Connery, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren.

Her favorite sport teams range from the Texans and Astros to the Giants and

Yankees and ”if I have to, the Saints.”

Tammy also “enjoys Italian, French, Indian food and good ol’ southern home

cooking”!

Samantha Kelly - Based in Houston Technical Center, Samantha has 10 years

marketing experience. She joined AmSpec 7 years ago. She is the proud mom of

her 10 month old son, Christopher and is married to David Kelly. The family dog is

named Brody.

She enjoys travelling and is excited about her upcoming trip to Italy in the spring of

2018. In the past, she experienced Kauai and Santorini and loved both.

Her favorite movies are Tommy Boy, Top Gun and Pitch Perfect. George Clooney,

Channing Tatum, Anna Kendrick and Emma Stone top her favorite movie stars. Also

enjoys the watching the Astros, Texans and University of Texas football.

Samantha’s favorite quote “Well behaved women, rarely make history.’’

Tom Fusco – After escaping the family dry cleaning business with some help from an oil executive customer, Tom began his oil industry career joining Hess in 1979. At Hess, he held various positions from inventory clerk, to product planner/ refinery blender to US southeast & northeast clean products scheduler over a 14 year span while balancing his personal life as a single parent raising his son and daughter, Tommy and Kristen, now 36 and 34 years old.

Tom later worked for Tosco / Phillips 66 as a distillate scheduler for 12 years. In 2003, Tom began his career in inspection marketing and in August 2008, he made his way to AmSpec and has been "grateful" ever since in his role as VP of Marketing.

He enjoys classic cars as well as listening to the Beatles and hanging with his two English bulldogs, Mugsy and Louie.

Favorite sport's team are the Yankees; likes DeNiro, Pesci and Mel Brook’s movies and his favorite quote is "the only things in life you really regret are the risks you didn't take..." (Jack Lemon - Grumpy Old Men).

Jeanie Moyed – Jeanie’s main focus is on the chemical marketing side of the business. With 20 years in the industry, Jeanie started as an intern for Lyondell Chemical Company then moved into their Polymers Customer Service department and later Chemical Logistics Operations. In 2010, Jeanie migrated to inspection spending the last 6 ½ years with Amspec as Chemicals Marketing Manager. Jeanie has a daughter, Morgan, a fiancé, Lance Strickland and two dogs Scout and

Pepper. She likes to jog and play golf. She supports the home team Astros and

Texans. Harrison Ford and Meryl Streep tops her lists of movie stars.

Marisa Chavarria – Marisa is the newest member of the AmSpec marketing team

and with her multi-lingual skills, she fills the Latin America customer relations

marketing post.

Despite being in the industry for a mere five months, Marisa is learning the business

from the bottom up by spending time with ops and in the lab and is starting to

make her way in front of clients.

In her spare time Marisa enjoys yoga, cycling and sometimes running if it’s under 5

miles! Her immediate family is spread across the country from Hawaii to West

Virginia. She has a boyfriend, Donny and both are Patriots fans living in Texas.

Favorite travel destinations are Greece, Scotland, Portugal and Columbia.

Domestically she would love to spend some vacation time in sunny southern

California.

Richard Traver – Rich has been in the industry for thirty-four years, seventeen as a

field inspector; twelve in operations and the last five in marketing / operations.

Rich is a huge Raiders and Mets fan. He is married to his wife Maria for thirty-two

years. Rich’s son, Rich, and his daughter-in-law Jackieade Rich a grandpa with the

birth of their son, Lennox. Rich also has a daughter, Erica and a dog Kato. He

specifically says HIS WIFE has a cat named Luna.

Rich enjoys Italian food, watching Robert DeNiro movies, especially ‘The Godfather’

and saying the phrase “freakin momo”!!! When vacationing, Rich loves the solitude

of the Caribbean. He has been with AmSpec thirteen years.

Billy Fusano – Billy has worked with AmSpec in the marketing department since July

2009. He and his wife Linda reside in San Antonio, TX. along with their family of five

girls, Victoria, Ciera, Sabrae, Natalia and Mariska with one grandchild on the way!

Billy grew up in the Bay area where his favorite athletes were Steve Young, Jerry

Rice and Joe Montana. He supports all Houston teams as well as the San Francisco

49ers. His favorite travel destinations are Costa Rica, California, Canada and Europe.

Favorite movies include ‘The Hangover’ and ‘Lord of the Rings’ and his favorite

quote is “Everyone has a plan…until they punched in the face…” - Mike Tyson

Amanda Congoran – Amanda is the Mid-West Marketing manager based in Chicago,

Illinois. Her industry career spans over 18 years in which she held various

scheduling positions at BP. She has worked for two competitor inspection

companies in Business Development prior to joining AmSpec four years ago.

Married to her husband Mike for eighteen years, the couple “have two amazing

daughters, Katie (12) and Kenzie (10). “Everything I do is for my girls; they are the

light of my life,” says Amanda. “If it’s not soccer, or softball practice, it’s a basketball

game.”

Amanda is a huge Cubs fan, (even during the drought) and also supports the

Blackhawks hockey team. Hasn’t travelled much outside the US except to London

which she “absolutely loved and would move in a heartbeat.”

Brooke Guertin – Brooke is based in AmSpec’s Boston office and like Marisa, came

to AmSpec new to the industry. In just over two years, Brooke is heavily involved in

billing as well as marketing.

Brooke met her boyfriend, Franky while attending college at UNH. They were best

friends for six years before they started dating.

Her hobbies include playing with her puppies, Nala & Piper, going to the beach,

music festivals, camping, concerts and doodling with arts and crafts. She was a

cheerleader and a hockey player in “her glory days and hopes to get back on the ice

again this winter.”
