FROM APPRENTICE TO ENGINEERING GRADUATE! Liam's Journey to Success with Bilfinger UK: I joined Bilfinger UK straight from school in 2004 as a Wiring Apprentice at Prospect House, during this period I completed a 4 year apprenticeship including a part time ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering which provided me with the knowledge and skills required to progress my role to a more senior level. In 2012, the company further supported my development by sending me on a 2 year part-time HNC course in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, whilst at the same time moving into the Test Department. After spending 3 years in this role I was able to progress further into the role of a Trainee Project Engineer. As a Trainee Project Engineer the company provided me with a great amount of guidance and support to allow me to integrate into my new role. During this period I was given the opportunity to train and become one of the EPLAN Lead User’s at the company, whilst also maintaining my role as a Trainee Project Engineer. To further develop my career, knowledge and skills in the field of engineering, the company supported me through a part-time Bachelor of Engineering Honors Degree in Industrial Engineering at Wrexham Glyndwr University. I completed my studies in September 2019 and graduated on 31st October 2019 with 1st class honors. The knowledge and skills obtained while studying my degree have provided me with a good foundation in elements of design, project management, report writing and practical skills to name a few, all of which I hope to build upon in my current role as a Project Engineer/ EPLAN Lead User at the company. Completing my degree has also provided me with the opportunity to start my journey on becoming professionally registered with the IET, where I hope to gain the necessary experience to become an Incorporated Engineer. I am very grateful to Bilfinger UK for the level of investment they have given me over the years and I look forward to continuing my career at the company, and I am very enthusiastic about what the future holds! FROM APPRENTICE TO ENGINEERING GRADUATE!

Liam's Journey to Success with Bilfinger UK:

I joined Bilfinger UK straight from school in 2004 as a Wiring Apprentice at Prospect House, during this period I completed a 4 year apprenticeship including a part time ONC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering which provided me with the knowledge and skills required to progress my role to a more senior level.

The knowledge and skills obtained while studying my degree have provided me with a good foundation in elements of design, project management, report writing and practical skills to name a few, all of which I hope to build upon in my current role as a Project Engineer/EPLAN Lead User at the company.
