SEN Knowing and Growing

This is me with my friends.

Sometimes my friends ask me to goto the gym. I like going to the gym

with my friends.

Sometimes my friends ask me todo things that I don’t want to do.

I don’t like going shopping.

It’s ok to tell them that Idon’t want to go shopping. They will still be my friends.

I don’t like when my friends tell me what to do. Sometimes they make me feel bad when I don’t want to join them. This is not how

friends should behave.

Sometimes my friends touch me. We shake hands, give high fives,

or sit beside each other. These touches are ok.

If my friend wanted to touch me ina private place, this would not be ok.

I would tell them to “STOP!”

I would then go and tell an adult,even if my friend told me to keep

it a secret. This is a secret I must tell.

If the adult I tell does not listen, I must tell another adult until

someone listens.

If my friend tries to take me away to a secret place, this is not ok. I will not go with them. If they don’t listen to me, they are not being a friend.

Good friends always listen.

We all have a voice. It is important to use it and always

tell the truth.
