CENTER

For more than 10 years, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center has planted and cultivated the seeds for tolerance, justice and human rights in Toronto.

FSWC has established itself as a leading education facility in the areas of tolerance and pluralism.

Through our educational workshops for students, teachers, police and the public, individuals are able to recognize hate, intolerance, antisemitism and racism.

FSWC has a wide following which includes over twelve boards of education, dozens of police forces and hundreds of teachers.

Over 10,000 students per year attend our workshops and programs.

FSWC has established itself as the central address for tolerance education and forward thinking through its Resource and Leadership Training Centre.

With over 1,000 books, videos and reference materials, the Harry and Barb Silverberg Library at FSWC is the heart of our research and think-tank initiatives.

The development of exhibits has turned us into a travelling museum and education center. They have visited 20 schools over 36 weeks, reaching tens of thousands of Canadian students.

To celebrate democracy and human rights, FSWC launched Freedom Day, a yearly event on September 20th to commemorate Simon Wiesenthal’s life and legacy. Over 800 students attended the first celebration.

‘The medium is the message’ – FSWC educates millions of Canadians through innovative technology and media outreach.
