OUTSTANDING LEARNERS OF THE WEEK Class R Lewis for creating and writing a fantastic booklet all about trains in his home learning.

Class 1 Rory for settling in so well to Class 1 and for working hard all week!

Class 2 Barnaby for settling in to Class 2 really well. He has worked hard, made new friends and had a great start. Well done Barney, we’re all very excited to have you in Class 2.

Class 3 Daisy and Rosie for making excellent links to previous learning in their problem solving.

Class 4 Albert, Amarra and Jemima for settling in well and having a fantastic first week in Class 4.

Class 5 Jack for his positive and enthusiastic approach to school games day.

Class 6 Elliott for being so helpful and encouraging to others during PE this week.

On Thursday 7th June, a very talented mixed Years 3 and 4 team represented Milverton at Quadkids, an athletics competition at Castle School. The team consisted of; Freya S, Tilly, Betsy, Isabelle, Anthony, Tristan, Jago and Ashton. The children each competed in 5 events, organising themselves well, showing great sportsmanship and competing with determination and enthusiasm. I am really proud of all of the children and would like to congratulate them all on their fantastic performances, energising team spirit and display-ing exemplary behaviour. All of the children should feel a great sense of achievement as they finished in an outstanding 5th place out of 22 schools! Well done to you all and thank you to the parents for supporting and transporting the children. Miss Brown

Pond dipping was great fun, we found lots of pond insects, pond snails, hundreds of tadpoles and some newts.

Throughout the morning there were

lots of other activities to take part in

including the mud kitchen, shelter

building, balancing tasks and making

elderflower cordial.

Spot the newt!

Some children were so kind that

they could add a helping heart on

to the friendship branch

We are looking forward to

sampling our elderflower

cordial later in the week!
