Welcome to our 2nd Annual Schooley Cattle Co. Produc-tion Sale. Sure looks like the cattle market is full of optimism and with Spring demand coming we will continue to see a rise for our wholesome beef! I first want to thank all our valued friends and customers for allowing us to bring our genetics back to town again this year. You gave us some insightful ideas and thoughts for what you want to see from us. So with that being said, we have focused on breeding these cattle for a uniformed set of EPDs. Our goal is to bring you a functional set of cattle with functional and accurate numbers. We have selected only a few sires to help build our program and to lead it in a direction that moves towards the future of our cattle business. With that said I WON’T SACRIFICE ANY TRAIT FOR FEET AND LEGS!! Working in the sale barn for the better part of my entire life I have seen first hand that feet and leg structure is the first and most often reason for people shipping cows early in life. With stay-ability being a primary driver for a successful herd, it was clear to me that hoof design and leg structure where of the utmost importance. I spend most of my time in the fall and winter looking at your cattle and studying your programs and that gives me ideas how to improve our herd. We want our cattle to help you top what ever market you sell, whether it’s by the pound or by the head. I hope you all find as much pleasure in your cattle as we do here. We get the opportunity day in and day out to sort and market some of the best cattle in the country. That’s why our main focus is still breeding cattle are docile and easy going. That goes along ways around here and everybody from producer to packer understands the importance of quiet cattle. I want to thank Tyler and Andrew for all the hard work they put in everyday of the year to help our program move for-ward. Matt, Lester and the crew at the sale barn for doing what ever it takes to make the whole puzzle fit together. Most impor-tantly our wives and families that sacrifice our time away. We want you to know that getting to know you and your operation is our top priority so that we can better assist your mar-keting needs.
Thank you and God Bless,
Roman Schooley 515-450-3685

This attractive designed baldy has been a stud since day one! His mass, width and dimen-sion packaged with the performance of Emmett off a first calf heifer is what we strive to bring to the offering. We could write a book about how high we are on this guy but will let the picture and video speak for themselves. He will be the lead bull in our NWSS percentage pen bulls and on display in the yards.

I would like to say the genetics behind the Schooley Bulls are the real deal. These calves come mod-erate at birth and are very stout, thick, muscular calves that truly perform. I have kept some superior daughters, backed by Pays to Believe & Ura Believer, that I’m very proud of! Steers grow like nothing I have ever seen be-fore. For example I sold some of these calves October 23, 2017 and had 23 steers who sold in one group weigh-ing 735 lbs. Those steers were born in March & April! I would strongly encourage anyone to try these bulls to add growth, performance, and pounds to your own herd.

Here is a neatly packaged true beef bull! One that is sure to add shear pounds and perfor-mance to his resulting progeny. His Traveler 004 dam consistently produces these top end bull’s year in and year out! Stepping Stone maternal sib sold last year to Duane Graber family. Member of the NWSS pen bulls and on display in the yards.
My son Matt and I have bought bulls two out of the last three years from Schooley Cat-tle. We have noticed the uniformity in the calf crop, not to mention the extra pounds we are selling. This past November we sold 74 steers and 64 all sold together for a pot load lot. We can say this is the most uniform & docile set of calves we have ever had, and I know the buyers appreciate that.

Clear Choice is the result of a 2nd calf heifer purchase from Clear Springs Cattle Co. After Admiring and watching a full sister sell for $16,000 last year to JS Simmentals. We decided the we needed to own the factory with this bull calf inside. We couldn’t be more pleased with grow, depth and structural integrity presented by Clear Choice. This bull not only excel on hoof but on paper as well being in the top 25% of breed for calving ease, WW and YW while boasting 160 API putting him in the top 1% of breed. Homo Black & Homo Polled.

My son JT and I have sold our calves with the Schooley’s for over 40 years. We have been buying bred heifers and bulls from Roman over the last 10 years. They are always glad to help us with advice on improving our genetics. If any problems ever arise, they are glad to as-sist us. We look forward to many more years of partnership.

Lot 20 - This is probably our only son of Keep up ever offered. Keep up is an upgrade son out of the legendary Keepsake (full sister to Pays to Believe mother Babydoll) cow at Lee Simmental farms. He is a unique breeding piece that we never fully utilized only getting to run behind a few cows that had al-ready been bred on once. But he sure stamped his mark here with 138E.

Wow what an opportunity here! There is cow power bred into this female. Her dam the 296 donor has quickly made her way to the front of the donor pen right behind her momma 6031. She has produced two full sisters to 657D both selling as opens at the NWSS averaging $12,000. As well as a full brother that was named Reserve Champion % Simmental bull at 2017 NWSS. 657D is as impressive on hoof as she is on pedigree.
