Dear PROSPeCTIve SPONSORS

Freshsight Queen’s is a student-ran consulting organization at Queen’s University that provides pro-bono consulting services for not-for-profit organizations in the local Kingston community.

Established in September 2012, we set out with a vision to instil a sense of stewardship and empathy to all stakeholders in the leaders of tomorrow, and a mission to aid charities, social businesses and third sector organizations in becoming world-class organizations. By leveraging the knowledge and abilities of the brightest Queen’s students, we believe we can accomplish much more than what simply volunteering or donating to a charity could do.

Our consultants and executive team have put in countless hours to ensure that our clients are getting the best service they possibly can. We have worked very hard to maximize every dollar and ensure the best goes forward to our clients. Nonetheless, our ability to reach more organiza-tions and expand our impact on the communities is vastly limited without the significant support of organizations like yours.

As a Freshsight sponsor, your name will be seen by the top students from all faculties at Queen’s University, as well as community stakeholders and organizations. You will also be able to closely interact and recruit from our bright and talented pool of consultants and executives.

This package highlights the structure of our organization, the projects and clients we have secured thus far, and the benefits Freshsight has to offer our sponsors. This is a great way for you to utilize your resources and amplify the effective-ness of your investment in making long-lasting difference in our community.

Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Dear PROSPeCTIve SPONSORS

Dear Prospective Sponsors,

At FreshSight Queen’s our vision is to instill a sense of empathy and stewardship in the leaders of tomorrow. We believe that one of the greatest ways for us to make an impact is through creat-ing an environment where thought leaders at university can use their knowledge and abilities to create a positive impact. By starting this mental-ity in university, we hope to create a generation of professionals who are willing to volunteer their time to create better outcomes in their community over the course of their lives. With support from the executive team and outside organizations we strive to understand the context of the organization and deliver practical solutions to our clients that directly address their most pressing problems.

Our first year of operations has seen impressive growth for FreshSight at Queen’s University. From our humble beginnings as an idea from the Uni-versity of Edinburgh in Scotland, we have grown to an organization of 35 members serving 6 local charities. We will not let this precedent slow our plans for growth however, as we hope to pass on our model, and our proprietary models for help-ing non-profits to other universities throughout Canada over the course of the coming years.

Our executive and consultants spend countless hours creating an organization provides great results for the organizations that we serve. How-ever, our efforts can only go so far in providing great value for the clients that we serve. Our quality of service, operations and ability to serve our clients with professionalism depend on generous support from organizations like yours. Being a sponsor of FreshSight will give you direct access and exposure to our talent. We have a rigorous selection process, and provide training to our members to ensure that their ability to help an organization solve their most pressing challenges is second to none. Supporting Freshsight is also a socially conscious decision for your organization, as your organization’s resources are leveraged through FreshSight to enact positive change in the community.

We would like to take this chance to extend the offer to your organization to work with us. Together we can create a positive impact in our community, enable a challenging experience for our consultants and allow FreshSight to create value for many years to come.

Ten Thousand Villages works together with artisans in healthy business relationships. The Kingston chapter has come to FreshSight for consulting regarding social media and getting the word out about the business

As with many non-profits, Kingston Food Bank is facing issues regarding funding. Donations to KFB are highly seasonal and KFB needs more consistent means of funding their organization. This leaves them with planning issues and lack of a budget.

In order to better understand how FreshSight creates value we first need to think about how non-profits create an impact in the communities they serve.

A non-profit functions by bringing three main ingredients together, resources, passion and drive, and the skills and abilities of their members. When these three things come together in a non-profit they use them to create an impact in their community.

FreshSight creates value by working to grow the resources availa-ble to non-profits through helping them clarify their strategy and marketing or by increasing the skill and abilities of the members of the organization. Through this we increase the impact that the organization creates in community, and make society better as a whole.
