Since 1835 the New Orleans & Carrollton Line is theoldest street railway line still in operation.

French Quarter Festival is the largest, free musicfestival in the South.

More than 2,000 community volunteers help tomake the French Quarter Festival a success.

Despite popular misconception, New Orleans is not a Cajuncity, though many Cajuns live there. The people, culture andcuisine of New Orleans are Creole, and have a long and distinguished history in the city going back to its founding.
