Happy Holidaze to all. Again, this year we have lots going on in one of the Top Ten neighborhoods in the USA. Huge day coming up on Saturday the 19th when we see the 5K race come through between 0730 and 0900, Put up the Holiday Bows from 0900 to 1100, and go see the annual Grand Illumination Parade at 1900 (7pm for some!) Then on Sunday we see the end of the Half Marathon come through between 0900 and Noon.

Please carefully review the article on the last page so you know if you live on certain streets to make sure you move your cars so they won’t be towed

this year. Note the City has opened the York Street garage for free.

Please come out and join us at 9 AM on Saturday the 19th to help hang our traditional bows. We will meet in Freemason Green (Poopie Park to some) to fluff the bows and then fan out with ladders to hang them on our Street Lamps. Coffee and donuts will be available.

Our General Meeting will be on Wednesday the 16th at 7PM at the YMCA on Bute Street. Speakers will be Chuck Rigney, Director of Economic Development and folks from the City and J & A Racing to brief the weekend races and

    A Message from the President

Don’t forget that not picking up pet litter is a misdemeanor offense and is punishable by a fine of up to $500. Please carry plastic bags, paper towels or a pooper scooper when walking your pet. Note also that City Ordinance requires that pets are leashed and under control at all times.

Boxing regulation-sized competition rings, double the number of bags, stadium-style seating for hosting an audience, and the capacity to host larger shows and championship bouts. This world-class facility is a project by the City of Norfolk Dept. of Recreation, Parks, and Open Space, and is open to the public! Be sure to check it out.
