Freelance Wizard helps to build quotations and bids for the products available within the Freelance product family.
It is intended to be used by ABB internals but also ABB internals but also external sales force (Channel Partner) or even the end user.

This will provide the Freelance price books in a table to pick individual components.components.Quick Spec provides some intelligence to order the parts correctly but will not helpto put a complete Freelance system together

Choose working with the AC 700F and/or AC 800F controller.
This window begins the automatic selection of the Freelance system Freelance system components.
The controllers will be specified later on, using the properties.

A click on the drop down menu offers the different families of operation.
DigiVis is the Operator station of Freelance.

Choose from light to heavy application.
An explaining text is shown underneath for each choice with information about how many about how many I/Os the currently selected application can handle.
The selected application level can be changed later on.

Create a process area for each selected controller.
To create a process area, check the marked box.
Process areas define physical or logical plant areas specified by the customer.

Rename an area by clicking on it.on it.
The process areas names are specified by customers. It is recommended to use real plant identifiers.

To change positions of process areas use the “Move up” and “Move down” button.
These buttons are disabled with just one with just one created process area.

The added area appears in the list of process areas.
To delete an existing area, mark it and press the “Delete area” button afterwards.

The “Design area” button opens a new window to specify I/O components for the controller.
Working with more than one more than one process area leads back to this page after designing of the selected area.
This step will be repeated until all areas are designed.

Activate “S700 Direct I/O connect” to work with I/Os mounted direct on the AC 700F controller.
Choose the second second checkbox to use S700, S800 or S900 Remote I/O systems via Profibus.
Optionally distribute Profibus on all AC 700F controllers evenly.

Specify the amount of AC 700F direct I/O channels.
Note, that the information about available modules is visible, when visible, when the mouse cursor is placed over the description.
Choose the termination unit:Spring and screw terminals are available.
AC 700F I/O modules can use spring or screw Terminals.

Choose between the tabs for S700 / S800 / S900 for the selection of Profibus RIO.

The selection of S800 and S900 I/O’s includes 4 columns.
I/O type and I/O channel can be selected.
The termination The termination unit column includes the right type of termination unit, compact Box and Field Housings.
Afterwards in the next selection window the spare parts can be defined.

Choose „Serial Package“, if you want to connect Modbus or other available serial communication busses.
Enter all fieldbusses I/O’s fieldbusses I/O’s connected to the controller in the provided box.

Enable “Combi-station” to run DigiVis and Control Builder F on the same PC.
This not only safes a PC and hardkey but also will give you a will give you a price reduction for DigiVis.
Note, that during download to the DigiVis station thru CBF, DigiVis is not accessible and thus the system cannot be operated. This might be an annoyance if this is the only DigiVis operator station

Enable “WEB display runtime” to get an extended interface for the operator station.
The Web display allows to run 3rd party run 3rd party programs like Excel, or a surveillance camera in a dedicated display, maintaining the visibility of the alarm line and limitations to access the PC operating system.

It can be used to view these exported trend files offline or to convert them convert them into CSV format.

Enable “FDT/DTM support” if you have DTMs for your HART or Profibus field devices available.
The DTM The DTM technology allows easy configuration and diagnostic of connected field devices.

Data servers provide connectivity to the 3rd party systems e.g. SCADA, PIMS etc.
Note, that Freelance does Freelance does not require any Data Servers to operate.

Freelance Wizard calculates the amount of controllers and I/Os to license.

The conversion of the project opens a new Wizard program part, called “manual selection”
Double click on items in the tree-view-bar opens the view-bar opens the property “Manual selection” window.
“Item-by-Item” is recommended for change of orders in the selected price list.
Only S900 uses “local assembly” for ordering of parts without any limitation rules.

In the tab “Items” you can manually add items or change quantities.
Changes are going to be verified by Wizard Wizard program.
Note, that items which require change are highlighted in red.
The validation messages at the bottom will tell you how to fix the problem

The “export to order module” function opens an additional Wizard program called order module. This program generates the Wizard order Wizard order Edi-file.
Note, that this program shell be installed separately and can be download from the BU pricing data base.

The “export to BusinessOnLine” function copies the selected price list items into the windows clipboard.Afterwards they can be inserted into the BOL into the BOL ordering tool.
Go to the specific BOL tool (website) and paste the selected price list items.
