This page:>>> TinyURL.com/FWPstart <<<1.  Every student gets a free website built on Google sites (usingtheir gmail accounts).2.  Students put their best academic work on display.3.  Students can choose to put the site "open to the public" (andallow college admission officers to see their work) or "share withteachers and parents only."4.  The Common App (application form used by over 600 universitiesfor college entrance) has a line called "please enter the link to youronline portfolio."   That's where this free website becomes useful.5.  The student's resume can beshown on the Free Website (as part ofthe student's career development efforts).6.  At SunEd High school, we ask students to learn to use GoogleDrive and Google Docs, so that students can submit materials toteachers online (we have saved LOTS of paper).  The material onGoogle Drive is available for displaying on the "digital portfolio" (freewebsite).

Examples of platforms for building free websitesGoogle Sites  sites.google.comWix.com (also works with Office 365 and OneDrive)Weebly.com

Store documents  1. Box: 5 GB of storage for free 2. Bitcasa: stores up to 10 GB worth of free files.3. Dropbox:  2 GB of free storage (or up to 18 GB if you refer a friend).4. Evernote:  free users can store up to 100,000 notes.5. Google Drive: a free storage limit of up to 5 GB that’s shared between Google Drive andGoogle+ Photos.6. iCloud: is just for iOS devices. It comes with 5 GB of free cloud storage. Bonus: the photos inyour Photo Stream don’t count against your storage limit.7. Mega: a whopping 50 GB of free cloud storage.8. OneDrive: offers 7 GB of free cloud storage for photos, documents, and other files and workson any device.   LINK
